To The Girl Who Has Been Through Hell

To The Girl Who Has Been Through Hell

Dear You,

There you are, thinking badly of yourself. Seeing yourself as someone who doesn’t deserve to walk this earth.

Seeing yourself as someone who has no reason to continue this life when all you’ve got in this life was pain.

You have no more strength to fight because everything you’ve been through has made you feel drained.

When you look at yourself in the mirror ,all you see is a tired person who doesn’t know how to continue. You know what I see? I see a warrior.

I see a person who has been through hell but a person who has lived through hell, too.

Lived. You are alive. That’s your biggest sign that nothing is over yet.

Paulo Coelho said that life has many ways of testing a person’s will—either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen at once.

With you, it was this second case. Life threw everything at you and it threw it all at once. As if it was testing you, to see if you’re strong enough to withstand the storm.

With all the things life has been throwing at you, you have had a hard time making things work for you.

At some point, you stopped and took a glance at your life and you didn’t like what you saw. Because it was just too much to handle.

Not a trace of light was there in sight—only dark days that were coming one after another, never giving hope that they’ll end eventually.

But no storm lasts forever. Regardless what the storm is about, it doesn’t last forever.

And what you need to do is hold onto things until the storm ends or even better, learn to dance in the storm. Because if you want to see the rainbow, you’ll have to learn to love the rain.

Nothing in life is as it appears to be at first. I know you see yourself as a person who isn’t good enough.

I know you think you were brought to this world to suffer and nothing more, but you’re wrong. Life is just making you go through hell, so you’ll know how to appreciate heaven.

You’ve been hurt too many times, probably most of them you haven’t deserved. You have been hurt by the people you thought wouldn’t do anything in their lives to make you cry, but yet they did.

You trusted them and your trust got broken. But there is a silver lining there if you just choose to see it. People who hurt you showed you whom you can trust and whom not, and it’s up to you what you’re going to do with that lesson.

The worst part of the hell you’ve been through is the fact that you became too good at goodbyes. Nobody in this life should get used to seeing people constantly walk out of their lives and yet you have.

But I want you to know one thing. Not all people who walk into your life are meant to stay. Not all people you want to stay will be good for you.

Sometimes what you see as a curse is actually a blessing in disguise. So, all the people who walked out of your life are the ones who didn’t actually deserve to stay in your life to begin with.

I know you’ve been through hell but you should never allow your wounds to turn you into a person you are not. You should never despair because of the things that happened in the past.

Yes, life has been harsh on you, but you need to remember what the old golden saying teaches us about life: Never a failure, always a lesson.

Tragedy depends on the way you see it. If you choose to be a victim of the world, anything which happens to you will feed that dark side of your soul, where you consider yourself wronged, suffering, guilty and deserving punishment. If you choose to be an adventurer, the changes – even the inevitable losses, since everything in this world changes – can cause some pain, but will soon thrust you forward, forcing you to react. – Paulo Coelho

Stand up tall and laugh at your pain. Laugh because even though it wanted to destroy you, it just made you stronger.

In the end, you’re the winner, but you’re the winner only if you choose to be a winner.

Trust me when I tell you—this isn’t the end of the road. Not yet. Because you’ve been through hell and now the best is yet to come.

So, let the pain go. You’ve crossed the hardest part of the road. Now it’s time for the good things. Don’t be afraid to embrace them.

Believe it or not, you too, deserve to be happy. And you will.

The key is to not give up on life. Just be patient. Your time is yet to come.
