If you ask me, texting is a double-edged sword. It helps us stay connected with people we care about (and ignore those we don\u2019t), and at the same time, it has the power to make our lives a living hell.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00bfDesde cu\u00e1ndo estas cuestiones se han convertido en nuestra preocupaci\u00f3n cotidiana? OMG, they haven\u2019t sent me an emoji in a text message… what if they\u2019re mad at me? They sent me a one-word reply. I seriously think that I should ask them what\u2019s going on here.<\/em><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t even get me started on the \u201cSeen\u201d syndrome:<\/strong> I know they read my text message, but they still haven\u2019t replied. Should I double-text them or should I pretend that I don\u2019t care and that it\u2019s okay for them to ignore me FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE?<\/em><\/p>\n

(I still can\u2019t forgive the person who invented that famous \u201cSeen\u201d<\/strong> por arruinarnos la vida).<\/p>\n

All these things force us to question whether they are \u2018bad at texting\u2019 or are they just not that into us. I know one thing for sure:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s really hard to tell when a person is simply texting anti-talent and when they don\u2019t care about you.<\/p>\n

The worst thing of all is our tendency to make excuses for their behavior, so the phrase \u2018bad at texting\u2019 is sometimes nothing more than a LIE that we tell to ourselves because we don\u2019t want to face the truth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But, today, we\u2019ll face the truth together.<\/p>\n

Are they really \u2018bad at texting\u2019, but great in real life?<\/h2>\n

And then, when you\u2019re back at your place, things change drastically. You wait for them to text you for hours and nothing happens.<\/p>\n

So, there you are, sitting next to your cell phone overthinking and thinking about what\u2019s exactly going on here.<\/p>\n

Lo crea o no, s\u00ed, existe.<\/strong> I\u2019ve been with a guy who was really TERRIBLE at texting and I would always overthink things and worry about everything.<\/p>\n

After some time, I asked him to tell me honestly how he\u2019s feeling about me and to explain to me his texting indifference.<\/p>\n

He told me that he\u2019s totally crazy about me, but he doesn\u2019t like texting. Finally, I realized that the reason why he sometimes ignored my text messages is that he hated replying to them, which brought me to the following conclusion:<\/p>\n

If a person makes an effort in real life to treat you the way you deserve, then yes, chances are they are just \u2018bad at texting\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lo peor que puedes hacer es empezar a bombardearle con montones de mensajes de texto y exigirle que responda a cada uno de ellos para obligarle a cambiar.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Keep seeing them in person as frequently as possible<\/p>\n

\u2022 Don\u2019t bombard them with text messages, but keep it simple<\/p>\n

\u2022 Don\u2019t see it as an issue, but try to understand it<\/p>\n

\u2022 Instead of texting, prefer to call them<\/p>\n

\u2022 Talk to them about it<\/p>\n

Remember: their affection has nothing to do with their texting habit. If you know that they are great in real life, but not so great at texting, don\u2019t let the latter prevail.<\/p>\n

Not so long ago, I was texting with a guy who’s texting behavior was really suspicious. He would leave me in the middle of a conversation and he would never suggest meeting up in person.<\/p>\n

If there\u2019s anything in the world that I really hate, it is one-word replies. It\u2019s like telling the other person: Hi and Bye (I don\u2019t care about you).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sometimes, one-word replies are justified (for example, when a person is busy at the moment), but if it happens on a regular basis, then you know they\u2019re just not that into you.<\/p>\n

So, please, don\u2019t make excuses for them because they certainly didn\u2019t deserve that.<\/p>\n

Entiendo perfectamente cuando alguien est\u00e1 ocupado<\/a> and doesn\u2019t have time to text you back, but is it really possible to stay busy for days, weeks, or even months? I don\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n

Every single one of us can find a few seconds of our time to tell a person what exactly is going on and why we can\u2019t text them at the moment. Anything else is just an excuse.<\/p>\n

Seriously? I can\u2019t accentuate enough how enraged I am about this one. I\u2019ve had such an experience with one guy and all I can say is: Si alguna vez te pasa esto, huye de ellos.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There\u2019s something utterly selfish in the fact that they don\u2019t see you as a human being. They never ask you about your day or how you\u2019re feeling because they are not interested in you on that level.<\/p>\n

I have no problems with initiating conversations, but if I have to do it every single time, then there\u2019s something truly wrong with whatever situation-ship I\u2019m in with that one person.<\/p>\n

If they never or seldom bother to be the one texting first, then this is another huge sign that they\u2019re not really into you. If they were, they would show it for sure.<\/p>\n

Do you know what\u2019s even worse than them asking you to send nudes? It\u2019s them BOMBARDING you with unsolicited pics.<\/p>\n

You can decide for yourself whether you\u2019ll send them nudes or not, but you certainly can\u2019t stay indifferent to their unsolicited pics.<\/p>\n

Ya sabes lo que dicen: Once you see it, you can\u2019t unsee it.<\/strong> If the only thing (or the main thing) they\u2019re doing is bombarding you with pics of themselves, then you know they\u2019re not \u2018bad at texting\u2019, but they are just not that into you.<\/p>\n

I mean, you can\u2019t be that \u2018bad at texting\u2019 to accidentally send dozens of unsolicited pics to someone, right? Right.<\/p>\n

Do you still think that they\u2019re \u2018bad at texting\u2019?<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019ve just realized that they are actually \u2018bad at texting\u2019, but great in real life, congratulations! I\u2019m truly happy for you.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve just realized that being \u2018bad at texting\u2019 was just your excuse for them, I\u2019m both sorry and happy for you. I\u2019m sorry that you didn\u2019t realize it sooner, but I\u2019m happy that you realize it now.<\/p>\n

You still have a chance to live the life you deserve and to be with someone who is worthy of being with you. So, don\u2019t waste your time texting those who don\u2019t bother texting you back.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t waste your time waiting, but face the truth and have faith that one day you will meet a guy\/girl who will find plenty of different ways to show you that they really care about you.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
