After all, she could have dumped you on someone\u2019s doorstep. But, she didn\u2019t do that, did she?<\/em><\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly why you MUST love her, no matter what. More importantly, you MUST respect her.<\/em><\/p>\n

This is your mother we\u2019re talking about, and she\u2019s always right!<\/em><\/p>\n

How many times have you heard these lines? Of course, they always come from someone who doesn\u2019t understand where you are coming from.<\/p>\n

They always come from people who assume that everyone\u2019s mothers are angels God put on this earth to protect us. People who can\u2019t grasp the idea of a madre t\u00f3xica<\/a> cuya \u00fanica misi\u00f3n en este mundo es arruinarte la vida.<\/p>\n

Well, sadly, I understand. And that\u2019s exactly why I say that all of this is bullshit.<\/p>\n

No tienes ninguna responsabilidad de amar a tu madre si ella fue la fuente de tu miseria.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Esta no es una mujer que te dio su amor incondicional.<\/p>\n

No una mujer que te proporcion\u00f3 consuelo cuando lo necesitabas y definitivamente no es una mujer que merezca ser llamada madre.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Because let\u2019s face it, ella era cualquier cosa menos eso.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1ntas veces has corr\u00ed a sus brazos pero me top\u00e9 con un muro insensible<\/strong>? \u00bfCu\u00e1ntas veces te has culpado por la forma en que te ha tratado?<\/p>\n

I know it\u2019s more than you can count. So why do you think you owe this woman anything? Trust me \u2013 you don\u2019t.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She didn\u2019t perform as a mother and, therefore, she dismissed you from any \u201cduties\u201d a thankful child might have.<\/p>\n

At some level, you\u2019ve even forgiven her for ruining your life. You haven\u2019t forgotten anything, of course, but you\u2019re no longer consumed by anger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So, here\u2019s a toast to you. It\u2019s the least you deserve after everything you\u2019ve been through.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s to your bravery.<\/strong> It took you a lot of courage to look that hurt child inside of you directly in the eyes \u2013 a lot of courage to face your traumas and to start fighting them.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s to your strength.<\/strong> Te hizo falta mucha fuerza para curar a ese ni\u00f1o interior.<\/p>\n

Pero supongo que te llev\u00f3 a\u00fan m\u00e1s fuerza para cortar de verdad los lazos con tu madre t\u00f3xica<\/strong>. Para cortar los lazos con ella de una vez por todas.<\/p>\n

S\u00e9 que era casi imposible no caer en sus manipulaciones, enga\u00f1os y mentiras. Apuesto a que intent\u00f3 atraerte de nuevo a su red docenas de veces, prometi\u00e9ndote que esta vez ser\u00eda diferente o gaslighting usted<\/a> and telling you that you\u2019re overreacting.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, te mantuviste en el camino correcto. Realmente la echaste de tu vida, de tu coraz\u00f3n y de tu mente.<\/p>\n

Pero sobre todo, here\u2019s to the person you\u2019ve grown into. Here\u2019s to the fact that you never mirrored her behavior patterns and never became anything like her.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Su hunger for love didn\u2019t turn you into a heartless monster<\/strong>. Your desire for attention didn\u2019t turn you into a narcissistic jerk who\u2019d kill to be under the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Your desperation for comfort didn\u2019t inspire you to become a selfish, apathetic human being. Your craving for understanding didn\u2019t make you indifferent.<\/p>\n

En su lugar, tu madre t\u00f3xica te inspir\u00f3 a ser mejor que ella. Te ense\u00f1\u00f3 en qu\u00e9 tipo de persona no debes convertirte nunca.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When I come to think about it, that\u2019s pretty much the only thing you should thank her for: for giving you a lesson you\u2019ll never forget.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adivina, lo lograste<\/strong>! You\u2019ve got everything you ever wanted in life, and you got it without any help from her.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, you have your inner peace. You\u2019ve healed, and all the emotional baggage she left behind is no longer weighing you down.<\/p>\n

Aparentemente, she was wrong \u2013 you aren\u2019t such a failure, after all.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As\u00ed que.., here\u2019s a toast for YOU!<\/strong> Te lo mereces.<\/p>\n

Y otro recordatorio r\u00e1pido: you don\u2019t have to love your mother just because she\u2019s your mother. But hey, you MUST always qui\u00e9rete a ti mismo<\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n
