Cuando experimentas el amor por primera vez, crees que eres el \u00fanico capaz de conquistar el mundo entero, s\u00f3lo con que la persona a la que amas te corresponda.<\/p>\n

En tu primer encuentro con esta persona, te dices a ti mismo, \u201cThis is it, it doesn\u2019t get better than this.\u201d<\/em> It\u2019s only years later, after a few heartbreaks too many, that you see you\u2019ve been wrong.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the story: I once believed that love is enough. I believed that when you love someone and when you\u2019re loved, there isn\u2019t anything more you should ask for in life.<\/p>\n

Having my heart broken by the person I loved the most, being let down by this one person who should\u2019ve been there for me, constantly being told how I\u2019m loved but never actually seeing it, made me grow up and realize that sometimes, love is just not enough.<\/p>\n

How do you expect to keep the love you\u2019re feeling if you just don\u2019t take care of it?<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t expect me to believe that love is enough or that you love me if the only proof I have are your words and nothing more.<\/p>\n

How can you tell me you love me and then go on living your life like there ain\u2019t me in it? I\u2019m no longer buying it.<\/p>\n

If you love me, take care of me. I\u2019ll take care of you, too. It will be mutual and I promise only then it will be enough.<\/p>\n

El amor no es suficiente si s\u00f3lo recibe un bajo esfuerzo.<\/strong> – To think that love will be enough if you try but only with your lowest efforts is such a rookie mistake.<\/p>\n

What about those sayings, \u201cWhen you love, you go all in.\u201d? What about loving the right way and not only when you have nothing else, better, to do?<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re not going to love with full power mode on, then please don\u2019t bother loving me at all.<\/p>\n

If you are afraid or too lazy to go all in, then you don\u2019t start the game at all.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll accept that being loved is the greatest feeling in this world, but only if you do it with your full effort, only if you do it right.<\/p>\n

El amor no basta si no hay respeto<\/a> en \u00e9l.<\/strong> – There are no two persons alike. We all differ at least in the way we feel about things and in the way we observe the world.<\/p>\n

The very least the person who loves you should do is respect that\u2014respect your views and your beliefs. The least a person who loves you should do is respect you, all of you.<\/p>\n

If you try to make me change myself or the things that make me who I am, then that\u2019s not love. That\u2019s far away from love if we\u2019re going to be honest.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just loving the idea of me or a vision of the person you\u2019d like me to be.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll always be this and nothing you do can make me want to be someone else. But perhaps someone else will know how to love me and respect me for who I am.<\/p>\n

El amor no es suficiente si s\u00f3lo lo intenta una persona.<\/strong> – How can you call it love when only one person is truly trying? That\u2019s not love, that\u2019s torture.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s taking everything and not giving anything in return. It\u2019s using a person who loves you. It\u2019s living like a parasite, feeding off of another person\u2019s feelings. It\u2019s everything but love.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t expect me to believe it\u2019s love if you\u2019re not gonna try at least as much as I will. Don\u2019t tell me how you love me and then show me something completely opposite.<\/p>\n

I no longer believe the words. It\u2019s the actions that tell me where someone deserves to be in my life.<\/p>\n

Love is not enough if you don\u2019t love both good and bad sides.<\/strong> – Everyone can love a person when a person is happy and everything is going fine in their lives.<\/p>\n

Pero esos momentos nunca duran para siempre. Cuando llegan los d\u00edas oscuros, lo que ocurre y qui\u00e9n permanece a tu lado incluso en esos d\u00edas es lo que cuenta.<\/p>\n

If you won\u2019t love my flaws as much as my good sides, then it\u2019s better to not love me at all.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re going to leave me alone in my darkest days and then come back when I pick myself up, don\u2019t come back saying you loved me.<\/p>\n

Because if you did, you\u2019d be there, next to me, for better or for worse. That\u2019s how love works.<\/p>\n

El amor es un sentimiento incre\u00edble<\/a>. But it doesn\u2019t work unless you do. It doesn\u2019t last unless you work on it. And only love isn\u2019t enough.<\/p>\n

Sure, it\u2019s essential for the start, but what happens when hormones lower? What happens when love isn\u2019t the only thing you need to breathe?<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when everything else becomes important.<\/p>\n

Empiezas a darte cuenta de que necesitas respeto y esfuerzos mutuos para que el amor funcione. Te das cuenta de que todos tenemos tambi\u00e9n un lado malo.<\/p>\n
