Desde peque\u00f1a me encantaba leer cuentos de hadas y ver pel\u00edculas rom\u00e1nticas, sobre todo en blanco y negro.<\/p>\n

Me encantaba la idea de c\u00f3mo los hombres verdaderos caballeros <\/a> y c\u00f3mo lucharon por el amor de la mujer que les importaba.<\/p>\n

Me fascinaba el hecho de que el amor verdadero fuera algo especial, que s\u00f3lo ocurre una vez en la vida. Ll\u00e1menme anticuado, pero ojal\u00e1 las cosas siguieran siendo as\u00ed hoy en d\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Maybe I was born in the wrong time but I really don\u2019t enjoy any of the concepts connected with modern dating.<\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because everyone assumes I am flirting with them when I am just trying to be nice. <\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because you can\u2019t smile at a guy without him misinterpreting it. You can\u2019t be polite without someone making all the wrong conclusions.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because you never know where you stand.<\/b> Odio las citas modernas porque una relaci\u00f3n real se ha convertido en tab\u00fa.<\/p>\n

Mire donde mire, la gente se enrolla, flirtea o tiene aventuras. Todo el mundo tiene alg\u00fan tipo de casi relaci\u00f3n <\/a> sin ataduras o son amigos con derecho a roce.<\/p>\n

Nobody is exclusive anymore and everyone refuses to label things and I don\u2019t see what the point of everything is.<\/p>\n

You can sleep with a guy for months or years and you still don\u2019t know where you stand with him and that is too exhausting and tiring for me.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong \u2014 I don\u2019t judge the people who enjoy these kinds of relationships but it simply isn\u2019t my cup of tea and it simply isn\u2019t something I find myself comfortable doing.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because everything revolves around texts and social media.<\/b> \u00bfCu\u00e1ndo fue la \u00faltima vez que un chico se te acerc\u00f3 y te invit\u00f3 a tomar algo enseguida?<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like modern dating because everyone I encounter is interested in playing mind games and sending mixed signals.<\/b><\/p>\n

I am not saying everyone wants to use you but the harsh truth is that almost nobody is honest anymore. Most men won\u2019t tell you what they are actually looking for and they won\u2019t be sincere about their intentions with you.<\/p>\n

En cambio, muchos te mentir\u00e1n y te enga\u00f1ar\u00e1n para poder guiarte <\/a> todo lo que quieran y eso es lo \u00faltimo que necesito en mi vida.<\/p>\n

I hate it because I am expected to fit into a box in which I can\u2019t find myself in. <\/b> Porque se espera de m\u00ed que siga ciegamente algunas normas y est\u00e1ndares sociales si quiero encajar.<\/p>\n

Pero sobre todo, I hate modern dating because there are unwritten rules which tell you that you have to be heartless if you don\u2019t want to look naive or stupid.<\/b><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t tell someone your true feelings and emotions unless you want to get hurt right away. You can\u2019t be romantic without looking pathetic.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t tell someone you like them, let alone you love them, if you don\u2019t want to be played.<\/p>\n

Instead, it is expected of you to play hard to get and to act as if you don\u2019t have any emotions for someone you like if you don\u2019t want to have your heart broken.<\/p>\n

Y it is something I don\u2019t want to be a part of.<\/b> Quiero tener una relaci\u00f3n normal, a la antigua, en la que todas las cartas est\u00e9n sobre la mesa.<\/p>\n

A relationship in which I won\u2019t have to calculate my every move and every word that comes out of my mouth. A relationship in which we will both be honest about our emotions and in which we will both treat each other with love and respect.<\/p>\n

Y esa es la relaci\u00f3n por la que estoy dispuesta a esperar, el tiempo que haga falta, aun con el riesgo de que acabe sola para siempre. Porque las citas modernas son algo con lo que no estoy dispuesta a conformarme.<\/b> <\/p>\n
