Cuando oyes \"superar a tu ex\", lo primero que se te pasa por la cabeza es encontrar a alguien nuevo.<\/p>\n

Es estar interesado en otros chicos y estar dispuesto a volver a la piscina de citas.<\/p>\n

Cuando piensas en superando<\/a> tu ex, piensas en dejarlo en el pasado, donde pertenece, sin permitir que su recuerdo se inmiscuya nunca en tu presente.<\/p>\n

Es olvidar que ese hombre form\u00f3 parte de tu vida y vivirla como si nunca hubiera existido.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s getting rid of all of his stuff, cutting ties with all of your mutual friends, not listening to the songs that remind you of him, and not going to the places where you might encounter him.<\/p>\n

Suena genial, \u00bfverdad?<\/p>\n

Whether you like to admit it or not, this guy still exists inside of you, despite the fact that he isn\u2019t physically present in your life.<\/b><\/p>\n

So, according to these standards, it appears that you haven\u2019t moved on from him.<\/p>\n

After all, you\u2019re still right there where he left you and you still miss him most of the time (despite knowing you shouldn\u2019t).<\/p>\n

There are still days when you feel lost without him, when you\u2019re overwhelmed with anger and resentment for everything he did, and even when you secretly hope that he\u2019ll come back.<\/p>\n

Your life hasn\u2019t changed much since you lost him either.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not like you\u2019ve made some dramatic differences and as if you managed to turn your reality upside down.<\/p>\n

There wasn\u2019t any magical revelation: you didn\u2019t wake up one morning, with him out of your head.<\/b><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t like in the movies: you didn\u2019t have a moment of clarity in which you realized you were wasting your energy thinking about him and decided it was about time to stop loving him.<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes, the truth is that you haven\u2019t moved forward completely just yet.<\/p>\n

You still haven\u2019t gotten over all the pain he\u2019s caused you and your heart is still bruised.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re still haunted by your past traumas and scared of starting over.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re still doing your best to heal and there are days when you feel like you\u2019re not succeeding.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re not making progress or you\u2019re not getting there.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re actually one step closer to your goal with every day that passes.<\/p>\n

With every morning you don\u2019t wake up with your pillow all wet from tears, every hour you don\u2019t think of him, every time you don\u2019t mention his name to your best friend, every song you don\u2019t relate to him, and every sincere smile that has nothing to do with him.<\/p>\n

Just because you still miss your ex from time to time, it doesn\u2019t mean you still love him.<\/p>\n

Because sometimes we miss the feeling a person gave us, we miss the memories we connect to them, we miss the scent, the sound, the butterflies, the safety, the emotion\u2026<\/p>\n

Most importantly, just because you still haven\u2019t forgotten all about him, it doesn\u2019t mean you fail to see reality.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t mean you don\u2019t know he isn\u2019t good for you and it certainly doesn\u2019t mean you would really want this man back, if the chance had to present itself.<\/p>\n

So please, don\u2019t be so hard on yourself.<\/b><\/p>\n
