Ya no quiero sentirme triste. He llegado a un punto en el que he decidido que no quiero mirar atr\u00e1s en mi vida y sentirme culpable porque nunca me arriesgu\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eliminar\u00e9 todo rastro de \u00e9l y entrenar\u00e9 a mi coraz\u00f3n para que nunca se salte un latido cuando oiga su nombre.<\/span><\/p>\n

I will forget everything he promised me and I will forget him: his voice, his smell, his face, his everything until I can\u2019t recall his image in my mind anymore.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recuerdo que al principio deseaba volver al momento en que lo conoc\u00ed, tomar un camino diferente y ahorrarme tanto dolor, pero en lugar de eso decid\u00ed confiar en Dios.<\/span><\/p>\n

When God let him into my life, I didn\u2019t know it was a lesson. A lesson to teach me to embrace myself.<\/span><\/p>\n

So often in life, we\u2019re blinded by what we feel and what we want in the given moment, so we forget to see things from another perspective.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was so lost in loving him that I forgot to love myself. Once he was gone, I needed to find myself again and I didn\u2019t know where to start.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s so hard to accept the fact that the people who once made us feel special are the same people who made us feel worthless in the end.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s so hard to trust after you\u2019ve been lied to so many times \u2013 even yourself \u2013 that\u2019s what <\/span>luz de gas<\/span><\/a> hace a una persona.<\/span><\/p>\n

Still, that\u2019s how I learned that the only lasting relationship in my life will be the one I have with myself.<\/span><\/p>\n

It became clear to me that in order to survive and live a good life I needed to change \u2013 myself, my life, my habits.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never believed in prince charming, but deep in my heart I\u2019ve always wanted to have somebody to care for me.<\/span><\/p>\n

I still want that \u2013 I still want to have somebody who will cherish me and make me feel safe and happy to be myself.<\/span><\/p>\n

La \u00fanica diferencia es que ahora s\u00e9 que puedo cuidar de m\u00ed misma y sentirme segura por m\u00ed misma.<\/span><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t depend on anyone\u2019s love but my own, and you know what? I feel better than ever. I feel relieved and happy I can believe in myself.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m proud of giving myself a chance.<\/span><\/p>\n

After all those years of telling myself that everything and everyone is better than me, I finally realized that comparing myself to others doesn\u2019t make sense.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leave behind everything that brings you down \u2013 including people. Don\u2019t make excuses. Everything in life happens for a reason, so don\u2019t sabotage your own growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Una de las mayores lecciones de esta experiencia fue dejar ir lo que no puedo cambiar. Parece sencillo, pero fue lo m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil de hacer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other than letting go I learned that for some people I\u2019ll never be enough as I am, but that it shouldn\u2019t bother me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Life\u2019s too short for trying to be liked by other people \u2013 in the end, you only have yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we have to be strong. We have to build forts out of ourselves, and be self-sufficient but welcoming to everyone who has something valuable to offer. Seek value rather than attention.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only self-love can break the circle of unfulfilled relationships. When you love yourself, you don\u2019t tolerate disrespect.<\/span><\/p>\n
