Pens\u00e9 que cuando por fin conociera a la elegida, el momento ser\u00eda perfecto. Estar\u00e9 en mi mejor momento. Tendr\u00e9 mi vida ordenada y resuelta.<\/p>\n

Of course, that wasn\u2019t the case. Estaba tan perdido <\/a>and wandering without any purpose. If I could describe myself at that point in two words, they would be \u2018complete mess\u2019.<\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t looking for him. I wasn\u2019t looking for love in general. I felt like I wasn\u2019t ready for a relationship of any sort. But he came walking into my life unannounced.<\/p>\n

He came and he stayed like he always belonged there. I guess soulmates don\u2019t ask when is the right time\u2014they come when they are supposed to.<\/p>\n

The only thing I expected, or better said \u2018wanted and hoped for\u2019, was that instant connection.<\/strong> Tuvimos eso. Era algo que nunca hab\u00eda experimentado antes.<\/p>\n

Something so strong was drawing me to him and I couldn\u2019t explain it. But it didn\u2019t go as smoothly as I thought.<\/p>\n

Sobre todo porque ten\u00eda miedo al amor. As\u00ed que segu\u00ed huyendo de \u00e9l. Pero \u00e9l estaba decidido. He wasn\u2019t scared and he stayed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s all it took to move my walls\u2014somebody who stays. Everything else was opposite to my beliefs.<\/p>\n

Pens\u00e9 que ser\u00eda alguien como yo<\/strong>. That we\u2019ll have similar interest. That we\u2019ll look at the world with the same mindset, through the same eyes.<\/p>\n

I was so off. We are complete opposites. But we fit perfectly together. We challenge each other. That\u2019s why it\u2019s never boring.<\/p>\n

He has completely different interests than I do but we support each other. But there is nothing more perfect for me than to listen to him talk about his day, his plans and dreams\u2014even though I don\u2019t know what the hell he is talking about.<\/p>\n

But he tells it with a spark in his eyes. He is so into it that it\u2019s really easy to hear him out. The best thing is he likes listening to me, too, when I go on and on about my stuff.<\/p>\n

Even the way he looks isn\u2019t like I imagined. \u00c9l es completamente opuesto a todos los chicos con los que sal\u00ed antes.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Pero cuando tienes una conexi\u00f3n as\u00ed, la apariencia es lo \u00faltimo en lo que piensas. Ahora, cada vez que le veo, me derrito porque siempre encuentro algo m\u00e1s que me gusta de \u00e9l por dentro y por fuera.<\/p>\n

Cre\u00eda que las almas gemelas nunca se peleaban.<\/strong> I thought they understand one another on a deeper level. This is where I found out that it\u2019s not a fairytale\u2014 it\u2019s real life. Things get messy.<\/p>\n

We fight, and we argue and disagree. We have two very distinct personalities. In the end, we make up, because we always realize it\u2019s not that important.<\/p>\n

Siempre conseguimos encontrarnos a mitad de camino. Siempre aprendemos algo nuevo.<\/p>\n

Pens\u00e9 que encontrar un alma gemela resolver\u00eda todos mis otros problemas o al menos los har\u00eda parecer m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stupid, I know. But one can hope. Naturally, it didn\u2019t make my problems go away but it\u2019s easier to deal with them when you have someone who can at least hug you when you are having a bad day.<\/p>\n

La felicidad tambi\u00e9n es mejor cuando se comparte. Aprend\u00ed que tengo que ser feliz sola para ser a\u00fan m\u00e1s feliz con \u00e9l.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aprend\u00ed que puedo ser mejor persona, no porque \u00e9l me obligara a cambiar o a trabajar m\u00e1s duro o a so\u00f1ar m\u00e1s grande, sino porque me inspir\u00f3 a hacerlo.<\/p>\n

I thought soulmates don\u2019t have to work on their relationships.<\/strong> Que todo vaya sobre ruedas.<\/strong> Pero nunca he trabajado m\u00e1s duro en nada en mi vida.<\/p>\n

We are learning from each other and about each other. We adapt. We grow together. It\u2019s not easy but it\u2019s worth it.<\/p>\n

Pens\u00e9 que hab\u00eda que ser perfecto para estar con tu alma gemela<\/a>.<\/strong> Pero s\u00f3lo tienes que ser t\u00fa.<\/p>\n

Descubr\u00ed que un alma gemela es una persona que te hace sentir tan c\u00f3modo que eres m\u00e1s t\u00fa cuando est\u00e1s con ella que cuando est\u00e1s solo.<\/p>\n

Todo lo que pens\u00e9, lo pens\u00e9 mal. Pero result\u00f3 mucho mejor de lo que nunca imagin\u00e9.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
