Siempre cre\u00ed que ser leal hasta la exageraci\u00f3n era mi mayor virtud cuando se trataba de relaciones. <\/span><\/p>\n

Honestly, I couldn\u2019t think of anything more desirable in a partner than being loyal to the one they love. I was so proud of being someone a person could always count on, no matter what.<\/span><\/p>\n

I was so sure that the person I was trying to be was going to make our relationship amazing. A committed, involved, honest lover who gave their everything to keep their partner happy, that\u2019s who I was to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Somehow, I still blamed myself. Now I can\u2019t even remember what kind of thought stream got me to think that way but I remember it had a lot to do with me thinking I was too loyal to you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I got myself to believe that I was too trusting and naive and that\u2019s why you had a chance to break me and lower my self-esteem but… no. <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not the one to blame, you are. I can\u2019t be responsible for how you decided to treat me.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not you. I didn\u2019t give you a motive, I didn\u2019t push you away with too much attention or whatever crap they\u2019ve been telling girls who get lied to and cheated on.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I was being myself. I was being loyal, open and trusting because that\u2019s who I am and because I thought you deserved it. I loved you, I wanted to treat you the best possible way.<\/span><\/p>\n

En aquel entonces, me dije que deber\u00eda <\/span>tener m\u00e1s cuidado en qui\u00e9n conf\u00edo<\/span><\/a> and that\u2019s something I still do believe. <\/span><\/p>\n

Being more careful never hurt anyone, but when someone intentionally tries to fool you, there\u2019s hardly anything you can do about that.<\/span><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t matter how smart, strong or empowered you are.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you come from the point of view that people who love each other should treat each other with respect, kindness and honesty, it\u2019s hard for you to assume someone would do anything but that.<\/span><\/p>\n

I now know I don\u2019t need to minimize my loyalty or become a bitch in order to match immature, selfish men who know nothing about love.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

La verdad es que consigo ser quien quiero ser, consigo ser quien soy: una chica que ama apasionadamente y da cada pedacito de s\u00ed misma a quien elige.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not the one who should change. The only thing that needs to be changed in my life is a man who doesn\u2019t know how to appreciate me. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sinceramente, tener una mujer de buen coraz\u00f3n que elige serte leal hasta la muerte y s\u00f3lo a ti es una verdadera bendici\u00f3n. Lo que pasa es que hace falta ser un verdadero hombre para darse cuenta de ello.<\/span><\/p>\n
