Me cans\u00e9 de dar segundas oportunidades.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hab\u00eda terminado de esperar que algo cambiara cuando en el fondo supe que se hab\u00eda acabado la primera vez que me mir\u00f3 a los ojos y me minti\u00f3. Esa fue la gota que colm\u00f3 el vaso.<\/p>\n

Quer\u00eda verle convertirse en el hombre que siempre se esforz\u00f3 por ser, el hombre que yo tambi\u00e9n ve\u00eda en \u00e9l. Pero se rindi\u00f3. <\/strong>He let himself lose himself and I forgot that I wasn\u2019t his savior.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t put on this earth to save him from himself. I wasn\u2019t his rehab center.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dej\u00f3 de luchar por nuestra relaci\u00f3n y se volvi\u00f3 destructivo y egoc\u00e9ntrico.<\/p>\n

Tard\u00e9 un tiempo en admitir por fin que ten\u00eda que dejarle. Mi coraz\u00f3n se neg\u00f3 a creerlo durante demasiado tiempo.<\/p>\n

I had to explain to myself that all of it had nothing to do with me. I wasn\u2019t the problem, I was just trying to fix it. But some people just don\u2019t want to be fixed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They would rather look away and pretend it doesn\u2019t exist. They would rather run all their life, constantly out of breath, than face the problem.<\/p>\n

Of course, there are people worth saving, people who need just a little nod, but not everyone can be saved and that\u2019s the sad truth.<\/p>\n

If they don\u2019t want to be saved, they can\u2019t be convinced into saving themselves.<\/p>\n

All the worry and care in this world can\u2019t help.<\/p>\n

I tried to help him for so long I forgot that\u2019s not what a relationship should look like. We weren\u2019t equal. He demanded my love and care \u2013 and I gave it to him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t count on him, not even for the smallest things. He somehow always thought of me last.<\/p>\n

I was unhappy but still terrified to leave him. However, I knew if I stayed, I\u2019d be even unhappier and I feared he might suck me into his toxicidad<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t want to change and despite my efforts to keep our love alive \u2013 so I did it. I finally left him.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t until I learned that no one can change a person who doesn\u2019t want to change.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Life\u2019s harsh for everyone. We all need to fight. I needed to fight for myself too and I knew I couldn\u2019t do it by his side.<\/p>\n

I finally learned that if love can\u2019t make him change, nothing can.<\/p>\n

I also learned we shouldn\u2019t allow anyone \u2013 no matter how much we love them \u2013 to change who we are and dim our light because of their weaknesses they\u2019re not willing to face.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t lose yourself saving a man who doesn\u2019t see you for who you are. Don\u2019t lose yourself for anyone.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t let anyone take your light away from you. Know you did nothing wrong, you just gave yourself a chance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dejarlo es cuidar de ti misma. Cambia el enfoque hacia ti mismo. S\u00e9 tu propio salvador, porque en este caso, has sido puesto en esta tierra para cuidar de ti mismo.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Learn from the example of others: Don\u2019t let your weakness consume you. Always keep fighting.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re all a little broken, we\u2019ve all been through something terrifying, and we\u2019ve all survived. Don\u2019t underestimate yourself and what you\u2019re capable of.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t be afraid to change your life and set new rules. Pick those rules carefully and always keep in mind that all of this means saving yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elige avanzar, elige salvarte.<\/strong><\/p>\n
