I was always played and treated like a fool, even when I had the purest intentions. That\u2019s why I don\u2019t need your empty words, I need consistency.<\/p>\n

I stopped believing in people\u2019s words that easily.<\/strong> You are what you do, not what you say you\u2019ll do. So whenever I hear a promise, I take it with a dose of doubt. I have to.<\/p>\n

That’s how I guard my heart. That’s how I am keeping it safe from harm.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

If people live up to their promises, I have something to be happy for. If not, at least I won\u2019t get disappointed because I wasn\u2019t looking forward to anything, to begin with.<\/p>\n

You will show me that I can trust you. You\u2019ll be persistent and you won’t give up on me so easily. You’ll be there for me. I won\u2019t need to risk my sanity because of you.<\/p>\n

And if you truly are a good guy, you\u2019ll try to understand. You\u2019ll try to put yourself in my shoes and understand why I am the way I am.<\/p>\n
