You don\u2019t know me, but I feel like I know you. I feel like I know you because I\u2019ve been through exactly what you\u2019re going through and I already feel close to you because I\u2019m aware of the pain you\u2019re feeling now. I know how much it all hurts.<\/p>\n

Realizing that you\u2019re the one who always cares more feels like crossing a bridge but never getting to the other side.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re trying and you\u2019re giving all of yourself but you end up nowhere in the end anyway.<\/p>\n

Somehow, we always think that people will be ready to do for us as much as we\u2019re ready to do for them. But in the end, they always prove us wrong and that\u2019s what hurts the most.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s obviously too much to expect from someone to put in as much effort as you would. And expecting too much in most cases leads to so much disappointment. That\u2019s why you\u2019re where you\u2019re are.<\/p>\n

I know you feel alone. I know you feel like you can\u2019t count on anyone. I know you feel like you don\u2019t have anyone who\u2019ll catch you if you start falling. <\/strong><\/p>\n

I know how you have trouble sleeping at night because you\u2019re trying to understand why people are the way they are. But all those people who disappointed you don\u2019t deserve to have you lose sleep over their actions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You\u2019re silly to expect people to be as good and as kind as you are. In most cases, they\u2019re always self-centered and they only worry about themselves.<\/p>\n

They don\u2019t care what might happen to you or anyone else unless you\u2019re pretty and dying. I know this is an ugly truth, but it\u2019s still the truth.<\/p>\n

It has nothing to do with you and there is nothing wrong with you. You\u2019re perfect the way you are.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s okay to feel disappointed with people, to be disappointed with this world and it\u2019s okay not to be okay from time to time. But don\u2019t lose hope. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Because the sorrow that you\u2019re feeling now is going to be replaced with something much better in the future. The trick is to hold on long enough to see those better days coming into your life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Forget what others told you, they\u2019re not like you and they can\u2019t understand. You don\u2019t need to change and you should never become something you\u2019re not.<\/p>\n

You should never try to fit inside someone else\u2019s box because you\u2019re one of a kind. So don\u2019t follow those who can\u2019t wrap their mind around how big of a heart you have.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t toughen up and don\u2019t push people away. It\u2019s not what you need. It\u2019s not how you work because you\u2019re not that kind of person.<\/p>\n

You should never change because you\u2019re perfect the way you are. That\u2019s why you feel so much pain at this very moment.<\/p>\n

And I won\u2019t lie to you, you\u2019ll have plenty of ugly and painful moments in the future as well.<\/p>\n

There will be people who\u2019ll disappoint you over and over again, there will be people who won\u2019t know what to do with you so they\u2019ll break you, there will be people who won\u2019t treat you the way you deserve, but don\u2019t ever sacrifice who you are for them.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t push people away, but let only those worthy of your love and time to get close enough to your heart. And stop expecting great things from small people. This is exactly how you\u2019re going to save yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keep yourself for those who deserve you. Keep yourself exactly as you are for those who\u2019ll have as pure a heart as yours, for those who\u2019ll wear their heart on their sleeve the same as you do, and those who\u2019ll reach beyond your expectations. Keep yourself for those people to whom you\u2019ll matter.<\/p>\n
