Cara mamma,<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This letter is just a reminder of how much I love you and how much I am grateful to have you in my life. If it wasn\u2019t for you, I would never have become the person I am today.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why I just want to say: \u201cThank you!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Grazie per essermi stato vicino quando ne avevo pi\u00f9 bisogno, grazie per aver ascoltato i miei problemi, per avermi telefonato a tarda notte, per avermi dato consigli e per essermi sempre stato accanto. So che non ci sono parole che possano dimostrare quanto ti sia grata di avermi qui, ma spero che, una volta letta questa lettera, ti renderai conto che hai fatto un lavoro fantastico da sola.<\/p>\n

So che hai messo la tua vita in stand-by solo per concentrarti su di me e che l'unico tempo libero che avevi tra i due lavori e l'accompagnarmi a scuola era quello in cui andavi in bagno e piangevi perch\u00e9 era cos\u00ec dannatamente difficile affrontare tutto questo da solo. E so anche che non hai mai voluto che io sapessi dei tuoi problemi e li hai nascosti. Ma anche quando ero piccola potevo sentire la mancanza di pace e sapevo che soffrivi e che combattevi le tue battaglie ogni giorno.<\/p>\n

So anche che in realt\u00e0 non hai mai voluto sgridarmi, ma era cos\u00ec difficile prendersi cura di me e avere tonnellate di obblighi ed essere comunque rilassati. Ora capisco che tutto il tuo mondo era cadere a pezzi<\/a> while I was just a small girl screaming to get that toy from the store that you couldn\u2019t buy for me.<\/p>\n

Now, I understand why we ordered food so many times. It is because you didn’t have time to cook because you had two jobs so you could provide me with everything I needed. And it wasn\u2019t important to me if you cooked something or not, it was important that we were together.<\/p>\n

I know it was hard for you to go on this trip alone but now that I am an adult you can see that you did a great job. You raised a daughter with a clean and pure heart just like you have and the one who will always stand up for herself. Your advice and love will always be a part of me, so Mom, don\u2019t ever think that you weren\u2019t enough.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to try anymore because you already gave me all that I ever needed. Of course, I sometimes missed Dad but your love and affection always made me feel that I had more love than those kids with both parents living with them.<\/p>\n

So please don\u2019t think that you failed because the situation with my dad didn\u2019t happen as you planned. Don\u2019t think that you are not enough because you ended a love relationship and stayed with me only. You chose right. If there isn\u2019t love, there is nothing else to do there. So walking away was the perfect decision and I am so proud of you and your strength to do that. Just remember that your imperfections and your problems don\u2019t reflect your worth. Don\u2019t think that you are weak because you walked away because that doesn\u2019t make you weak at all. That just means that you were too strong for too long.<\/p>\n

I know that you had a crazy and challenging phase in your life and I know that it wasn’t easy for you to handle all the problems alone. But in the end, you made it and that\u2019s why you are more than enough.<\/p>\n

Tu eri abbastanza, sei abbastanza e non smetterai mai di esserlo. So che ti sei sentito cos\u00ec ogni volta che ho allungato le mani verso di te per sollevarmi.
