Ogni volta che si inizia una nuova relazione, nel profondo, una parte di noi spera segretamente che sia per sempre. Che sopravviva nonostante tutte le sfide e gli ostacoli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desiderate che sia un fiaba<\/a> in cui voi e la persona amata vivrete per sempre felici e contenti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ogni volta che iniziate ad amare qualcuno di nuovo, nel profondo, una parte di voi spera che questa volta sar\u00e0 diverso. Che voi due sarete migliori di tutte le altre coppie e che riuscirete a farcela, nonostante tutte le probabilit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least this is the way I always think. You can call me a hopeless romantic, but I don\u2019t see the point in letting someone in your life when you already have an exit strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t see any point in starting something new if you\u2019re planning its end. In beginning a love story that you know has an expiration date right from the start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, things don\u2019t always turn out the way we want them to. Sadly, many stories don\u2019t have happy endings and many loves are not meant to last, despite all of our hopes and desires.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is exactly what happened with us \u2013 we were obviously never destined to end up together. As much as we loved each other, we couldn\u2019t fight against everything fate had prepared for us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong, this doesn\u2019t mean I blame the higher powers for our failure. I don\u2019t blame either of us, either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth is that I\u2019ve accepted our end. I\u2019ve come to terms with the fact that I lost you for good and that you\u2019re not coming back.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, this doesn\u2019t mean that I consider time spent with you wasted. It doesn\u2019t mean that I regret giving you my entire self, nor does it mean that I wouldn\u2019t have done it all over again, if I had the chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ma soprattutto, it doesn\u2019t mean that we didn\u2019t have a purpose in each other\u2019s lives. It doesn\u2019t mean we didn\u2019t matter or our love wasn\u2019t true.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sai, mi ci sono voluti anni per capire tutto questo. All'inizio, quando ti ho perso, ho maledetto il mio destino per averti mandato sul mio cammino solo per portarti via da me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wondered what the point of everything was \u2013 why God sent me a man I loved so much, if He knew he wasn\u2019t my forever person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perch\u00e9 dovevo sperimentare un amore cos\u00ec travolgente e totalizzante, se poi avrei finito per soffrire? Che senso aveva tutto questo dolore che stavo vivendo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, after a lot of thought, it dawned on me that sometimes we can\u2019t understand everything. Ho capito che ci sono ragioni che vanno oltre la nostra comprensione.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ho scoperto che la nostra storia \u00e8 servita come una lezione preziosa<\/a>. A lesson that cost me endless sleepless nights and tears, but a lesson I\u2019ll never forget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ho capito che eri l\u00ec per insegnarmi ad amare con tutto me stesso. Eri l\u00ec per insegnarmi come affrontare le perdite, come rimanere forte nonostante le difficolt\u00e0 e come elevarmi al di sopra del dolore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per insegnarmi che sono una donna autosufficiente che pu\u00f2 sopravvivere a tutto ci\u00f2 che la vita le propone. Per mostrarmi tutto il mio potere interiore che non sapevo di avere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You were there to school me that I can\u2019t always have whatever and whoever I want. That sometimes, life is a bitch who kicks us in the gut when we least expect it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To teach me how to appreciate people while they\u2019re still in my life. How to cope with sadness and nostalgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ma soprattutto, you were there to teach me that some people are not meant to stay. That some loves aren\u2019t meant to last, as much as we want it to be.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, maybe you don\u2019t want to hear this, but after finally understanding all of this, I don\u2019t regret losing you anymore. And you know why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because I know that everything I\u2019ve been through was for my own good. Because I know that bigger and better things await me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because I know that we\u2019ll both manage to be happy in the future without each other. Because I am convinced that we\u2019ll both meet the people who are <\/strong>destinati ad essere nostri<\/strong><\/a> fino alla fine dei tempi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when that does happen, we\u2019ll realize why things never worked between us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
