Da quando ci siamo lasciati, mi sono sforzato di non pensare al potenziale della nostra storia d'amore.<\/p>\n

Faccio del mio meglio per non pensare a tutto ci\u00f2 che saremmo potuti diventare e a tutti i \"could have\", \"should have\" e \"might have\".<\/p>\n

However, I don\u2019t always succeed. There are moments when I can\u2019t help myself so I end up tripping on how happy we could be.<\/p>\n

As much as I try to avoid having this meaningless conversation with myself, there are times when I can\u2019t help but wonder: Abbiamo sbagliato noi o ha sbagliato il momento?<\/strong><\/p>\n

After all, we\u2019re wiser, smarter, and more mature than we used to be, so I assume that we wouldn\u2019t let each other go so easily.<\/p>\n

Back then, we didn\u2019t appreciate each other and were convinced that we would find another romance just like ours right around the corner.<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t know that what we had was more than special\u2013that it was a once in a lifetime kind of love and that we\u2019d spend all our time afterward looking for each other in everyone we encountered.<\/p>\n

I guess we were too immature to be aware of real life: we didn\u2019t know that amore vero<\/a> needs fighting and building and that it\u2019s much more than being crazy about each other all the time.<\/p>\n

Maybe we had to spend some time apart, to find ourselves before finding each other. Maybe we had to part ways in order to cross one another\u2019s paths as better and improved versions of the immature kids we once were.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have I been delusional for all these years? Or I am holding on to all of this because deep down, something is telling me it\u2019s the real deal?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Either way, I do know one thing: whether this is just false hope or my intuition, it\u2019s the only thing keeping me sane and emotionally alive.<\/p>\n
