Un tempo ero come tutti gli altri girls who don\u2019t like being single<\/a>. I thought I wasn\u2019t good enough if I didn\u2019t have a man next to me. I was scared of how others might perceive me and I thought being single meant there was something wrong with me. Well, there is not.<\/p>\n

But you know what is wrong? It\u2019s wrong for society to judge women for being single. It\u2019s wrong for society to put women out there and make them desperate for finding a man. You might think that we\u2019re over this, but the reality is much different.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La gente non ha idea di quante donne rimangano in relazioni tossiche a causa di questo problema. Avete idea di quante donne si accontentano perch\u00e9 credono che essere molestate sia meno doloroso che essere giudicate per il fatto di essere single? Beh, io lo so.<\/p>\n

I know because I was one of them. I was afraid of being judged and perceived as less just because I didn\u2019t have a man next to me. And who’s to tell me that I’m less worthy without a man?<\/p>\n

I was one of those scared women until I decided I wasn\u2019t going to be anymore. Until Ho abbracciato la mia vita da single<\/a> e mettere me stesso in cima alla lista delle mie priorit\u00e0.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So, to all those who\u2019re still falling behind in this era and who judge women for being single, you need to know that women are not single because they\u2019re not good enough. Women are not single because nobody wants them or because they\u2019re too picky or because they\u2019re too selfish. Things are not like that.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re single because we\u2019re smart enough to say goodbye to toxic men.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Strong women can handle being alone and they can also shut a man down when he\u2019s being disrespectful. We don\u2019t let anyone take it out on us and we never allow ourselves to be the victims of toxic men. The moment we notice the guy is mistreating us and projecting his insecurities on us, ce ne andiamo senza mai voltarci indietro.<\/a><\/p>\n

We\u2019re single because we\u2019re careful about who we trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Life taught us many things and one of the most painful thing is to pay attention to whom we give our trust to. That\u2019s why it takes a while for us to ease a bit around people and that\u2019s why we\u2019re careful with those we welcome in our lives. Many fail to differentiate this from being narcissistic. We\u2019re just selective with giving people our trust until they prove worthy of it and that\u2019s all the philosophy behind it.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re single because we know what we deserve.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t expect anyone to pay our rent and we\u2019re far from being gold-diggers. But we know we deserve to be treated right. We all deserve a man who\u2019ll put an effort in our relationship, and we deserve someone who won\u2019t think twice before choosing us and who\u2019ll respect us for who we are. And we\u2019re not settling for anything less.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re single because we\u2019re actually happy this way<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Per molti \u00e8 difficile credere che i single sono davvero felici<\/a>, but it\u2019s true. We don\u2019t need anyone to complete our happiness and we refuse to look for our happiness in somebody other than ourselves. Women who embrace being single are those who actually have the single status as their mantra.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re single because we haven\u2019t found the right one yet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many of us are still single because we haven\u2019t found a man with whom we \u2018clicked\u2019. And we\u2019re not thinking about rushing into some random guy\u2019s arms just to escape the single life. Instead, we\u2019re patiently waiting for the right one and we\u2019re enjoying the single life along the way.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re single because we enjoy freedom and independence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regardless of how many people might think that women should take responsibility by taking the role of being a wife and a mother, some of us just don\u2019t see that as our piece of the pie. Or at least we are not seeing it as a piece of the pie just yet. We enjoy our freedom and independence and we tend to be selfish regarding who we give power over us.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re single because being the owners of our lives feels so good.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not having to ask for permission, being able to be responsible for your own actions and not having to explain yourself to anyone – as much as it may be selfish, it feels so good. There is nobody to stop us from experimenting in life, having a few more drinks than we should, getting the career we want or discovering the world. Whatever we do, we do it without anything or anybody holding us back and no matter what others say, there is nothing wrong with this.<\/p>\n

We understand that there is more to life than belonging to someone. I know it\u2019s an amazing feeling, but there is something even more amazing and that\u2019s embracing the single life and living it to the fullest finch\u00e9 non troverete qualcuno che vi tratti con rispetto e che vi meriti.<\/a> Tutto il resto \u00e8 solo accontentarsi e io ho scelto di non accontentarmi.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
