Ho pensato che quando finalmente avrei incontrato quello giusto, il momento sarebbe stato perfetto. Sar\u00f2 al meglio. Avr\u00f2 la mia vita ordinata e risolta.<\/p>\n

Of course, that wasn\u2019t the case. Ero cos\u00ec perso <\/a>and wandering without any purpose. If I could describe myself at that point in two words, they would be \u2018complete mess\u2019.<\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t looking for him. I wasn\u2019t looking for love in general. I felt like I wasn\u2019t ready for a relationship of any sort. But he came walking into my life unannounced.<\/p>\n

He came and he stayed like he always belonged there. I guess soulmates don\u2019t ask when is the right time\u2014they come when they are supposed to.<\/p>\n

Quello che ho imparato sulle anime gemelle \u00e8 che l'anima gemella \u00e8 tutto il contrario di quello che pensavo.<\/p>\n

The only thing I expected, or better said \u2018wanted and hoped for\u2019, was that instant connection.<\/strong> \u00c8 successo. Era qualcosa che non avevo mai sperimentato prima.<\/p>\n

Something so strong was drawing me to him and I couldn\u2019t explain it. But it didn\u2019t go as smoothly as I thought.<\/p>\n

Soprattutto perch\u00e9 avevo paura dell'amore. Cos\u00ec, ho continuato a scappare da lui. Ma lui era determinato. He wasn\u2019t scared and he stayed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s all it took to move my walls\u2014somebody who stays. Everything else was opposite to my beliefs.<\/p>\n

Pensavo che sarebbe stato qualcuno proprio come me<\/strong>. That we\u2019ll have similar interest. That we\u2019ll look at the world with the same mindset, through the same eyes.<\/p>\n

I was so off. We are complete opposites. But we fit perfectly together. We challenge each other. That\u2019s why it\u2019s never boring.<\/p>\n

He has completely different interests than I do but we support each other. But there is nothing more perfect for me than to listen to him talk about his day, his plans and dreams\u2014even though I don\u2019t know what the hell he is talking about.<\/p>\n

But he tells it with a spark in his eyes. He is so into it that it\u2019s really easy to hear him out. The best thing is he likes listening to me, too, when I go on and on about my stuff.<\/p>\n

Even the way he looks isn\u2019t like I imagined. \u00c8 completamente opposto a tutti i ragazzi con cui sono uscita prima.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ma quando si ha un legame come questo, l'aspetto \u00e8 l'ultima cosa a cui si pensa. Ora, ogni volta che lo vedo, mi sciolgo perch\u00e9 trovo sempre qualcosa di pi\u00f9 da amare in lui, dentro e fuori.<\/p>\n

Pensavo che le anime gemelle non litigassero mai.<\/strong> I thought they understand one another on a deeper level. This is where I found out that it\u2019s not a fairytale\u2014 it\u2019s real life. Things get messy.<\/p>\n

We fight, and we argue and disagree. We have two very distinct personalities. In the end, we make up, because we always realize it\u2019s not that important.<\/p>\n

Riusciamo sempre a incontrarci a met\u00e0 strada. Ogni volta impariamo qualcosa di nuovo.<\/p>\n

Pensavo che trovare l'anima gemella avrebbe risolto tutti gli altri problemi, o almeno li avrebbe fatti sembrare pi\u00f9 piccoli.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stupid, I know. But one can hope. Naturally, it didn\u2019t make my problems go away but it\u2019s easier to deal with them when you have someone who can at least hug you when you are having a bad day.<\/p>\n

La felicit\u00e0 \u00e8 anche migliore se condivisa. Ho imparato che devo essere felice da sola per essere ancora pi\u00f9 felice con lui.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ho imparato che posso essere una persona migliore, non perch\u00e9 mi abbia costretto a cambiare o a lavorare di pi\u00f9 o a sognare pi\u00f9 in grande, ma perch\u00e9 mi ha ispirato a farlo.<\/p>\n

I thought soulmates don\u2019t have to work on their relationships.<\/strong> Che tutto fili liscio.<\/strong> Ma non ho mai lavorato di pi\u00f9 in vita mia.<\/p>\n

We are learning from each other and about each other. We adapt. We grow together. It\u2019s not easy but it\u2019s worth it.<\/p>\n

Pensavo che si dovesse essere perfetti per stare con l'anima gemella<\/a>.<\/strong> Ma tutto ci\u00f2 che devi essere \u00e8 te stesso.<\/p>\n

Ho scoperto che l'anima gemella \u00e8 una persona che ti fa sentire cos\u00ec a tuo agio da essere ancora pi\u00f9 te stesso quando sei con lei che da solo.<\/p>\n

Tutto quello che ho pensato, l'ho pensato male. Ma \u00e8 andata molto meglio di quanto avessi mai immaginato.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
