Unlike past years, let this be the year where everything truly changes–for the better. After all, if we want to evolve, changing is inevitable. It is something that is deeply ingrained in our being upon our birth.
When we’re just born, we’re babies, incapable of taking care of ourselves. We cannot feed ourselves when we want to because we cannot walk. We cannot say that something hurts us because we cannot talk. But we can cry. As a matter of fact, the only thing we can do is cry.
Let this be the year where we’re going to cry together like newborn babies who are about to enter the world once again, without any thoughts on humanity or how life functions.
Let this be the year when we’re going to start from scratch and take small steps like a newborn baby who is going through its life transformation. When you pretend that you don’t know that much about the world, it gives you endless possibilities to change your perspective on certain things.
And sometimes, the act of changing our perspective is all we need to make an enormous change in our lives. After all, how can you blame someone for something they’ve done if you’ve never been in their shoes?
Once we understand why things are the way they are, we will be halfway to our infinite happiness.
Happiness is not something that can be reached unless we decide to. You cannot only say that this year you’re going to be happy and you will not let anything bad happen to you at any cost.
Happiness is something that requires serious efforts and not just the act of talking. Once you determine the triggers of your dissatisfaction, start working on them.
The change comes within you.
The change comes within your thoughts, combined with actions. And it will not happen overnight. You will fall, rise, fall again and almost give up and that is when you’ll change. The change happens in the process of working on it, trying again and again and not giving up.
If you want them to forgive you, seek forgiveness.
If you want them to leave you alone, tell them.
If you want them to treat you with respect, demand it.
And even if you fail at it, you’ve changed. Your actions were not in vain. Your determination to succeed in something has improved you tremendously and you should never doubt it.
So what if the guy you like doesn’t like you back? So what if things are not the way you imagined them to be?
The only question you should pose to yourself is: Have you tried changing it? If yes, then you should not worry about it. It’s as simple as that.
Be willing to change but also be ready to accept the things you cannot change.
You see, the key is not in changing things at any cost. It is in trying to make things better and being ready to accept the result of it. Let this be the year where God will give you strength to accept everything you cannot change.
Let this be the year where you love yourself more and be harsh on yourself less.
You’re not perfect, just like anybody else, but you’re unique, just like anybody else. Let this be the year where you’ll accept all of your quirks and flaws that make you who you are.
You don’t need fashion designer clothes to be worthy. All you need is self-worth and confidence.
You don’t need to dance to the tune of others in order for them to like you. All you need is to tell them that you won’t put up with their bullshit and if they don’t like it, they can go screw themselves.
You don’t need to be afraid to love with all of your heart because you think they’re going to hurt you. All you need to do is realize that you have a beautiful heart which is really rare today and even if they break it, you will still be the winner.
Let this be the year where you’ll pay attention to what makes you happy and delete what makes you sad.
Dwelling on your past is not healthy for your well-being so let this year bring you a fresh, new start where you’ll redirect all of your positive energy to the things that make you happy and not those that drain you.
Let this be the year where you won’t make excuses to start making changes and instead you’ll make an effort and not give up until you reach ultimate happiness.
