Apercebi-me de que o meu problema e o problema da maioria das mulheres \u00e9 n\u00e3o ter padr\u00f5es quando se trata de encontros.<\/p>\n

And the reason we don’t have standards, and this is hard to admit, but we are not quite sure what we want exactly.<\/p>\n

And because we haven’t had that talk with ourself and determined standards of our own, we can’t expect a man to know them either. We are unsure where our borders lie, what we consider saud\u00e1vel<\/a> e comportamento normal.<\/p>\n

N\u00e3o sabemos ao certo que tipo de comportamento \u00e9 toler\u00e1vel e que tipo de comportamento \u00e9 totalmente indesculp\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n

We become too accommodating, too tolerant, and too understanding\u2014which eventually comes back to bite us.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong, I am not talking about some unrealistic or high standards, like he has to have a house with a pool and Porsches in front of it.<\/p>\n

They are not standards, that’s a gold-digger alert. I am talking about normal behavior that we often give to our loved one but forget to ask for ourself.<\/p>\n

Entregamos o nosso cora\u00e7\u00e3o, corpo e mente numa rela\u00e7\u00e3o sem esperar nada em troca e, como resultado, normalmente acabamos com algu\u00e9m t\u00f3xico.<\/em><\/p>\n

Para evitar este tipo de comportamento, temos de definir os nossos padr\u00f5es em alto e bom som, primeiro para n\u00f3s pr\u00f3prios e depois para o nosso potencial ou atual parceiro:<\/p>\n

1. Espere o mesmo respeito que est\u00e1 a dar<\/h2>\n

If you are treating somebody with the utmost respect, you should expect the same in return\u2014or show them the door.<\/p>\n

2. N\u00e3o esperar ser tratado como uma op\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h2>\n

Don’t settle for being one of the girls sitting on the bench who jumps up and drops everything every time he has the decency to call you.<\/p>\n

Don’t make him think that he is the center of your universe even if he wants to be in your life only when it’s convenient for him.<\/p>\n

Tenha um padr\u00e3o que diga que homens de meia-tigela, promessas de meia-tigela e sentimentos de meia-tigela n\u00e3o s\u00e3o bem-vindos na sua vida.<\/p>\n

3. Esperar aten\u00e7\u00e3o, afeto e tempo<\/h2>\n

Ele arranja tempo para si, por muito ocupado que esteja. Lembrar-se-\u00e1 de lhe enviar mensagens. Vai telefonar-lhe e fazer planos para sa\u00edrem juntos.<\/p>\n

If he cares, he will make it work. Don’t lower your standards by begging for somebody’s attention, affection and time; if they are not given freely, they are worthless.<\/p>\n

4. Esperar uma conversa honesta<\/h2>\n

O teu parceiro de vida deve ser algu\u00e9m em quem possas confiar completamente. Algu\u00e9m que cumpra as suas palavras.<\/p>\n

Deve ser capaz de o tratar como o seu melhor amigo, algu\u00e9m com quem pode fazer tudo e n\u00e3o temer que ele use as suas palavras ou emo\u00e7\u00f5es contra si.<\/p>\n

Ele deve ser algu\u00e9m com quem se partilha todas as alegrias e tristezas.<\/p>\n

A relationship won’t work if you are the only one who is being honest.<\/p>\n

5. Esperar ser aceite pelo que \u00e9<\/h2>\n

Porque est\u00e1 a fazer o mesmo com o outro lado. Est\u00e1 a aceitar as suas perfei\u00e7\u00f5es e os seus defeitos como partes de si.<\/p>\n

Don’t waste your time on somebody who is trying to change you or make you into something you are not. You are perfect in your imperfections.<\/p>\n

\u00c9s \u00fanica, digna e \u00fanica. E para o homem certo, ser\u00e1s mais do que suficiente<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. Esperar algu\u00e9m que permane\u00e7a durante os bons e os maus momentos<\/h2>\n

Don’t stay with the one who runs for the hills every time darkness veils over your life.<\/p>\n

Don’t waste your smile on somebody who isn’t there to wipe away your tears.<\/p>\n

Est\u00e1 sempre presente para ele, independentemente das circunst\u00e2ncias, por isso espere que ele lhe d\u00ea o mesmo.<\/p>\n

7. Esperar um esfor\u00e7o m\u00fatuo<\/h2>\n

You can’t be the one doing all the hard work all the time. You can\u2019t put all your strength and energy into making somebody happy if they are not doing the same.<\/p>\n

8. Esperar amor<\/h2>\n

Pensamos que o nosso amor ser\u00e1 suficiente, que temos tanto amor dentro de n\u00f3s que ser\u00e1 suficiente para dois.<\/p>\n

But it never is. Love should always be reciprocated and if it’s not, then it’s not true.<\/p>\n
