Desde pequena que adoro ler contos de fadas e ver filmes rom\u00e2nticos, especialmente os que s\u00e3o a preto e branco.<\/p>\n

Adorei a ideia de como os homens eram verdadeiros cavalheiros <\/a> e como lutaram pelo amor da mulher de quem gostavam.<\/p>\n

Fascinava-me o facto de o verdadeiro amor ser algo especial, que s\u00f3 acontece uma vez na vida. Chamem-me antiquado, mas gostava que as coisas continuassem assim hoje em dia.<\/p>\n

Maybe I was born in the wrong time but I really don\u2019t enjoy any of the concepts connected with modern dating.<\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because everyone assumes I am flirting with them when I am just trying to be nice. <\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because you can\u2019t smile at a guy without him misinterpreting it. You can\u2019t be polite without someone making all the wrong conclusions.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because you never know where you stand.<\/b> Detesto os encontros modernos porque uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o a s\u00e9rio se tornou um tabu.<\/p>\n

Para onde quer que olhe, as pessoas est\u00e3o a engatar, a namoriscar ou a ter namoros e casos. Toda a gente est\u00e1 numa esp\u00e9cie de quase rela\u00e7\u00e3o <\/a> sem compromisso ou s\u00e3o amigos com benef\u00edcios.<\/p>\n

Nobody is exclusive anymore and everyone refuses to label things and I don\u2019t see what the point of everything is.<\/p>\n

You can sleep with a guy for months or years and you still don\u2019t know where you stand with him and that is too exhausting and tiring for me.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong \u2014 I don\u2019t judge the people who enjoy these kinds of relationships but it simply isn\u2019t my cup of tea and it simply isn\u2019t something I find myself comfortable doing.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like it because everything revolves around texts and social media.<\/b> Quando foi a \u00faltima vez que um homem se aproximou de si e a convidou para tomar um copo de imediato?<\/p>\n

Quando foi a \u00faltima vez que teve uma conversa honesta, cara a cara com um homem, olhando-o diretamente nos olhos e vendo todas as suas emo\u00e7\u00f5es?<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t like modern dating because everyone I encounter is interested in playing mind games and sending mixed signals.<\/b><\/p>\n

I am not saying everyone wants to use you but the harsh truth is that almost nobody is honest anymore. Most men won\u2019t tell you what they are actually looking for and they won\u2019t be sincere about their intentions with you.<\/p>\n

I hate it because I am expected to fit into a box in which I can\u2019t find myself in. <\/b> Porque se espera que eu siga cegamente algumas normas e padr\u00f5es sociais se quiser integrar-me.<\/p>\n

Mas acima de tudo, I hate modern dating because there are unwritten rules which tell you that you have to be heartless if you don\u2019t want to look naive or stupid.<\/b><\/p>\n

You can\u2019t tell someone your true feelings and emotions unless you want to get hurt right away. You can\u2019t be romantic without looking pathetic.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t tell someone you like them, let alone you love them, if you don\u2019t want to be played.<\/p>\n

Instead, it is expected of you to play hard to get and to act as if you don\u2019t have any emotions for someone you like if you don\u2019t want to have your heart broken.<\/p>\n

E it is something I don\u2019t want to be a part of.<\/b> Quero ter uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o normal, \u00e0 moda antiga, em que todas as cartas estejam na mesa.<\/p>\n

A relationship in which I won\u2019t have to calculate my every move and every word that comes out of my mouth. A relationship in which we will both be honest about our emotions and in which we will both treat each other with love and respect.<\/p>\n

E \u00e9 por essa rela\u00e7\u00e3o que estou disposto a esperar, durante o tempo que for preciso, mesmo correndo o risco de acabar sozinho para sempre. Porque os encontros modernos s\u00e3o algo com que n\u00e3o estou disposta a contentar-me.<\/b> <\/p>\n
