2024, foi um prazer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a long ride of ups and downs\u2014maybe more downs than ups, but it had to be like that. I get it. I had to learn all the lessons you wanted to teach me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

N\u00f3s, este ano e eu, t\u00ednhamos de o terminar em grande. Caso contr\u00e1rio, n\u00e3o teria aprendido nada.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to lose so many things in order to appreciate what was coming. I had to hit rock bottom to learn to rise again\u2014stronger, smarter, better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve let me make one mistake after another because you wanted to teach me a lesson. You wanted me to never do that again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that your and my chapter is coming to an end, I\u2019m not angry anymore.<\/b> I was in the beginning. I couldn\u2019t accept what was happening to me. I couldn\u2019t accept so many bad things coming one after the other.<\/p>\n\n\n

I couldn\u2019t believe it was all happening at the same time, like a chain reaction that had no intention of stopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agora, percebo que tudo o que estava a passar era por uma raz\u00e3o<\/b>. All the mistakes I\u2019ve made were paving the road to a happier future. I just couldn\u2019t see it right away. But I know it now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was so scared of endings. I was dreading goodbyes. They meant something was over, and over means sadness. It means loneliness. But what I didn\u2019t see was that with every ending starts something new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Endings don\u2019t have to be depressing and hurtful. Endings mean that something different is going to happen. <\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algo diferente significa mudan\u00e7a, e a mudan\u00e7a \u00e9 boa porque depois de cada cap\u00edtulo encerrado vem outro.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s up to me to decide whether that chapter is going to take a turn for worse than I\u2019ve already felt or for the better. It\u2019s up to all of us. We make our own destinies.<\/p>\n\n\n

2024, ensinaste-me a acreditar em mim quando eu estava mais insegura. Ensinaste-me a levantar e a lutar quando tudo o que eu queria fazer era rastejar para a cama e nunca mais me levantar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fizeste-me ouvir aquela vozinha interior que n\u00e3o parava de dizer: \u201cTry, be better, be stronger, try harder!\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desafiou-me e obrigou-me a atingir os meus limites, a ver realmente o que era capaz de fazer. Tirou-me da minha zona de conforto e fez-me enfrentar os meus medos em vez de fugir. Obrigada por isso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this year, I\u2019ve learned what it really means to be brave and take advantage of all the possibilities I have in front of me. I just had to grab every moment I thought would bring me change. A change for the better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve learned that you cannot be stuck in the past. You have to look ahead because if you don\u2019t seize the moment that is coming, that moment will never come back. It\u2019s better to go for it than to miss out on it and regret it for the rest of your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024, ensinou-me a viver o presente, a esquecer o passado e a olhar para o futuro.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n

You\u2019ve taught me that every mistake I made was for a reason. Every wrong move I made led me to something new. I just didn\u2019t see it then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024, the mistakes I\u2019ve made brought me to my breaking point, but the strength I\u2019ve gained made me get passed it.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear 2024, you\u2019ve thrown me surprises I didn\u2019t expect. You\u2019ve tossed me into a horrible storm with wind throwing me back and forth. You\u2019ve ridden me on emotional roller coasters and brought me to destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But dear 2024, you\u2019ve also given me hope, optimism, and faith that I can survive all the bad luck and the lousy hand of cards I was given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Porque, como v\u00eaem, aqui estou eu, no final de mais um ano, \u00e0 espera de come\u00e7ar mais uma hist\u00f3ria das muitas que ainda est\u00e3o para vir.<\/p>\n\n\n

Throughout out the turbulent times, millions of things happening all of a sudden, you didn\u2019t beat me down the whole way. You still decided to show me there is always a way out, that there is always a solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deste-me a for\u00e7a que eu n\u00e3o sabia que tinha. Ensinaste-me li\u00e7\u00f5es que nunca esquecerei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024, I\u2019m sad you\u2019re coming to an end because that means I\u2019m leaving the past in the past. But 2024, I\u2019m happy that you\u2019re finally over because that means I get to do things all over again. I get a fresh start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can do whatever my heart wants. I can pursue my dreams. I can let go of things I don\u2019t want to remember.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024, thank you for all the mistakes I\u2019ve made. Thank you for helping me become a different person than I was a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n
