I don\u2019t know about you, but my gut has never failed me so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually when I sense something\u2019s off, that ends up being the case. I\u2019m never happy about it, but hey, at least it helps me get out of bad shit in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I always want to believe the best about people, and for a bit, I, too, choose to ignore that little nagging voice inside me, but when it just won\u2019t shut up, that\u2019s when I take it seriously and get a grip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. He\u2019s hesitant to give you his social media accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s a red flag if I\u2019ve ever seen one! If he\u2019s active on redes sociais<\/a> and he knows you\u2019re aware of it, why wouldn\u2019t he just give you his IG handle?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019re really no reason not to share his Insta with you, unless he\u2019s hiding something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you two are seeing each other, there\u2019s really no excuse to hide his virtual life from you. What could possibly explain that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t know about you, but I would feel totally weird about it and consider it a warning to get out in time…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. He\u2019s often flaky but never offers a specific explanation for his behaviour<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

He never tells you why he didn\u2019t show up, and if you ask him outright, he\u2019ll just get out of saying it with a bunch of vague excuses and end up totally changing the topic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clearly, he doesn\u2019t want to tell you, but the real question is\u2014why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever you suggest calling him or vice versa, he\u2019s always got somewhere to be, and it\u2019s seemingly never the right time for him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve never Facetimed, and slowly, you\u2019re wondering if there could be more to it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If there\u2019s anything Peixe-gato<\/em> has taught us, it\u2019s that there\u2019s definitely something fishy going on if the person refuses to be seen on camera.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s just a really suspicious habit which you shouldn\u2019t indulge for much longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. He\u2019s extremely anxious at the prospect of meeting your friends<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ou ele demora horas a responder (ele j\u00e1 tem algu\u00e9m em casa e est\u00e1 \u00e0 espera de ser deixado em paz<\/em>) ou s\u00f3 envia mensagens de texto durante o dia (when he\u2019s at work and therefore free to text you, as opposed to at night when he\u2019s with the other person<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watch his texting patterns, and if he never deviates from his texting schedule, maybe it\u2019s time to get suspicious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s a possible sign that he\u2019s got uma mi\u00fada do lado<\/a> and is only able to text at certain hours when he\u2019s not with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Ele nunca quer ir a casa dele porque \u2018\u2019lives too far\u2019\u2019<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Does he often say that it\u2019s just more convenient to hang at your place because it\u2019s just closer or less crowded? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It could be any number of excuses, but the bottom line is\u2014going to his place is off limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That could easily mean he\u2019s already living with someone and doesn\u2019t want to get caught OR he may be seeing a few chicks at once, so he doesn\u2019t want to risk going to his place in case they decide to show up announced (e lixar as coisas para ele<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whichever it is, it doesn\u2019t sound particularly promising, and you should probably deix\u00e1-lo<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Ele telefona-te sempre que quer, mas tens sempre de verificar primeiro se est\u00e1 tudo bem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Some people aren\u2019t really into calling much and prefer the good, old text message, and that is a completely possible scenario here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, if he calls you whenever he wishes and never lets you do the same, that\u2019s a cause for distress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It likely means that he\u2019s sleeping next to somebody who has zero clues about you and doesn\u2019t want to risk you two finding out about each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can\u2019t really know for sure, but if he\u2019s adamant you never call without checking first, I would definitely be suspicious, and you should. too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust your judgment, and don\u2019t let him play you for a fool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
