A vida dela era tudo o que eu sempre quis para mim.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I remember one day we were having a latt\u00e9 in our favourite cafe and she said that her boyfriend is near, driving around in his car and that she is just going to give him kiss hello. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I remember thinking and saying to her,\u201cOmg, that\u2019s super cute.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As time passed, we started becoming really close friends. I told her that she has the greatest life ever: \u201cYou are beautiful, finishing up college, everyone likes you, and you are in this great relationship full of understanding and trust.\u201d She kind of smirked when I said that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On another occasion, we went for a jog and her boyfriend, whom I still hadn\u2019t met, called her and asked where we were going. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I made a joke and took her phone and said, \u201cWe\u2019re going out with these handsome guys from university.\u201d I noticed how uncomfortable she was.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I don\u2019t recall what happened in between; she graduated and I still had two more semesters, so I went back to university and she called me,saying they\u2019d broken up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ela contou-me tudo numa esp\u00e9cie de c\u00f3digo, como se tivesse medo de falar ao telefone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Quando voltei para casa, ela confessou-me tudo. Ela disse que tinha medo de acabar com ele porque ele amea\u00e7ava matar-se a si pr\u00f3prio, \u00e0 sua fam\u00edlia e a ela.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ele fez-lhe uma lavagem cerebral e ela tinha medo de contar a algu\u00e9m. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n At one point she was afraid to ask him to go to the movies and see the new James Bond film just because he might think that she is \u201cin love with the actor,\u201d then freak out and hurt her physically.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Eventually, he broke up with her although she played by his rules. He was obviously mental and he couldn\u2019t cope with himself anymore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n She was finally saved although she wanted to even get back together with him \u2013 classical Stockholm syndrome. Luckily, he moved away and she realized that freedom is the most important thing in life for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She thought she\u2019d never find anyone again. Her self esteem was shot and she\u2019d completely lost faith in men, but she fell in love again with the greatest guy ever to whom I introduced her. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Finalmente est\u00e1 feliz e a viver a vida que sempre desejou.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Por vezes, dou por mim a queixar-me de um tipo qualquer que me magoou e diminuiu a minha autoestima, mas depois penso nela e deixo de me queixar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ela \u00e9 uma pessoa t\u00e3o boa e forte e conseguiu ultrapassar tudo isto apenas porque acreditava no amor e que existem pessoas boas por a\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have a friend whom I\u2019ve known practically my entire life.
