You know… Sometimes words just aren’t enough to describe our feelings to a loved one. To someone who means the world to you… The world and so much more… That special someone and the person with whom I share the strongest and deepest connection is a minha melhor amiga.<\/a><\/p>\n

And even though words can’t portray everything she means to me, I decided to pour out my feelings in this short letter and thank her for everything she did and is still doing for me. So, here it is… An open letter to my melhor amigo<\/a>, a minha rocha e a minha companheira para sempre.<\/p>\n

Querido melhor amigo,<\/h2>\n

\"fotografiaI know you\u2019d argue with me on this one, but I really think you deserve the world.<\/p>\n

It floors me that you\u2019re not even aware of what a good friend you are.<\/p>\n

Actually, you\u2019re not aware of that mais<\/i> of the time. That\u2019s why I\u2019m writing this heartfelt open carta ao meu melhor amigo<\/a>, para o meu alma g\u00e9mea plat\u00f3nica<\/a>, to \u201cmy person,\u201d … to you.<\/p>\n

O \u00fanico que me conhece t\u00e3o profundamente, mas que escolhe amar-me com tanto orgulho.<\/p>\n

Tenho de admitir que muitas vezes me pego a pensar no que fiz para te merecer.<\/p>\n

You came just at the right moment in my life, and you\u2019ve stuck around through thick and thin.<\/p>\n

I thank God every single day that our paths crossed because you\u2019re the best thing that\u2019s happened to me in a long time. Because of you, I\u2019m even more sure that someone\u2019s watching over me from above.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

You light up the room the moment you enter it, and you\u2019re so oblivious to that.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s so hard to not notice it. It comes naturally to people to shift their attention to you, and you\u2019re none the wiser.<\/p>\n

Acredito genuinamente que me tornas uma pessoa melhor s\u00f3 por seres a minha melhor amiga<\/a> e a ajudar-me a navegar nesta coisa chamada vida.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re not one of those attention seekers. You are so down-to-earth and modest.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re not even trying, and that\u2019s what makes you even more interesting and why people are drawn to you. You deal with real life and all of its ups and downs with such grace and poise.<\/p>\n

As pessoas querem estar perto de si. Querem fazer amizade consigo. Querem que a sua energia se transfira para elas.<\/p>\n

E tu d\u00e1s-lhes isso. Damos-lhes esse toque de positividade e for\u00e7a para seguirem em frente.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re o meu melhor amigo na terra<\/a>, but you\u2019re also a dear friend to so many more people we know.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the type of person who makes people\u2019s hearts warm whenever they\u2019re around you.<\/p>\n

You make every person around you feel better without even needing to try hard. You\u2019re the first person to lift everyone up and ask for nothing in return.<\/p>\n

Being kind-hearted comes so naturally to you. And I\u2019m glad I get to be around you and have your kindness warm my heart as well.<\/p>\n

If I could go back in time to when I was in high school, I\u2019d choose you to be my BFF a million times over.<\/p>\n

See, you\u2019re the kind of person that only those that never had the privilege of meeting you could live without.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

They end up needing your warmth and your tenderness because it\u2019s so easy to get addicted to it.<\/p>\n

Neste mundo frio, todos n\u00f3s precisamos de mais pessoas como tu, com a tua energia positiva e a tua risada sentido de humor.<\/a><\/p>\n

People need you because you\u2019re genuinely there for them. You are everyone\u2019s shoulder to cry on.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re their helping hand in their times of need. You enrich people\u2019s lives more than anyone else I know.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the first to fight for the people you care about, and, knowing you, I doubt you\u2019d have to think twice before jumping into a battlefield and defending those who you truly love.<\/p>\n

You’re the most precious gem and you know why? Because you’re um verdadeiro amigo<\/a>. And that’s so hard to find in this everchanging and hurried world. True friends have truly become a rarity these days.<\/p>\n

O que mais me impressiona \u00e9 a vossa capacidade de perdoar. <\/i><\/b>You do more than just say they are forgiven \u2013 you actually mean it.<\/p>\n

You’ve been through an awful breakup and you survived heartbreak and yet, you still managed to find the strength deep down in your heart to forgive the guy who made you go through a real hell.<\/p>\n

That’s exactly the thing about you that amazes me the most… Your ability to always be the bigger person. Even if people break your heart, even if they betray you or hurt you, you always find a way to see past it all and move on.<\/p>\n

Por vezes, \u00e9 preciso mais tempo e outras vezes \u00e9 preciso um pouco menos, mas nunca se v\u00ea as pessoas atrav\u00e9s dos seus erros.<\/p>\n

Voc\u00ea nunca guardar rancor<\/a> ou manter os seus deslizes contra eles para a eternidade.<\/p>\n

Because you love to believe there is more to them than their mistakes. Because you don’t want to poison your own heart with hate and contempt.<\/p>\n

Acredita que todos merecem ser amados e que todos merecem uma segunda oportunidade.<\/p>\n

\u00c9 por isso que estou t\u00e3o convencida de que um dia vais ser uma m\u00e3e t\u00e3o boa.<\/p>\n

While we’re talking about motherhood… I’ll never forget that you were there for me when my mother died. That was definitely the hardest period of my life, and of course, you were there for me, supporting me through my grief.<\/p>\n

I’ll never forget that you were with me that first time I visited her grave and all those letters for Mother’s Day you helped me write for her, for my guardian angel in heaven.<\/p>\n

You cried with me and you tried so hard to make me smile and to soothe my pain. That’s what verdadeiros amigos<\/a> do… They laugh together but they also do cry together… And they’re always there for each other, no matter what.<\/p>\n

You find hope in people where nobody would ever think of looking, and you keep fighting when any normal person would\u2019ve given up a long time ago.\"umaYou find a reason to believe in people even when they don\u2019t believe in themselves.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re always there for them even if they aren\u2019t always there for you. And you care for them even when they forget about themselves.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t remember a single person you let down because you\u2019re always there to offer people your arms to hug them, your heart to show compassion, and your presence to listen to them and show them they\u2019re not alone.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t let go of people \u2013 you always find a reason to stay and try again.<\/p>\n

You give your love without holding anything back because love, for you, isn\u2019t an option; love is your mantra, and you decide to give all of your love to others so purely and without even expecting anything in return.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s how selfless you are. That\u2019s what\u2019s so amazing about you. And that\u2019s what I love the most about you \u2013 and the fact that you always wear your heart on your sleeve.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not only other people who need you. I need you, too, and more than you can wrap your mind around.<\/p>\n

You see, you\u2019re way stronger than you realize. You\u2019re a fighter, and yet you\u2019re so sensitive and kind. You\u2019re funny and you\u2019re smart. You\u2019re beautiful, and you\u2019re breathtakingly powerful.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Tu \u00e9s tudo isto; \u00e9s o universo inteiro numa s\u00f3 pessoa. Nunca conheci ningu\u00e9m t\u00e3o completo como tu.<\/p>\n

O seu impacto nas pessoas faz com que elas queiram ser a melhor vers\u00e3o de si pr\u00f3prias. Elas esfor\u00e7am-se por mais. Alcan\u00e7am as estrelas.<\/p>\n

You influence people. You change them for the better in a way, but please don\u2019t ever let people change you. Don\u2019t let them ruin your kindness or your spark.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t let them turn you into something different or make you believe you should be somebody else, because out of all the people I know, you are the one that God created almost perfectly.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the easiest person to love on this earth and don\u2019t let anyone convince you otherwise.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t ever change. Don\u2019t give up on the person you are, and please never give up on me either.<\/p>\n

Because you are a true blessing in my life. You\u2019re my sister \u2013 perhaps not by blood, but definitely by heart.<\/a><\/p>\n

O ano passado foi dif\u00edcil para n\u00f3s os dois. Odeio-o porque nos fez seguir caminhos diferentes na vida e p\u00f4s a nossa amizade \u00e0 prova da dist\u00e2ncia. Tenho saudades tuas<\/a> cada vez mais com o passar dos dias. A tua presen\u00e7a \u00e9 algo que anseio todos os dias. Habituar-me a estar contigo com tanta frequ\u00eancia tornou muito mais dif\u00edcil esta coisa da dist\u00e2ncia.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t get me wrong. There is nobody on the planet I am more secure in than you.<\/p>\n

Sinto falta da maneira como a tua simples presen\u00e7a \u00e9 capaz de me fazer ver o lado bom de tudo. A forma como me fazes rir quando s\u00f3 me apetece chorar.<\/p>\n

\u00c9 um anjo<\/a> enviado do c\u00e9u para cuidar de mim.<\/p>\n

Acredito mesmo nisso. Quando eu estava no meu ponto mais baixo, ajudaste-me a levantar-me. Nunca me vou esquecer disso.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Eras aquela voz da raz\u00e3o que me lembrava de me amar mais.<\/p>\n

I was drowning in self-pity and my insecurities. I was wounded by other people, by toxic relationships, and I thought I wasn\u2019t enough. Being desperate and alone had become my comfort zone.<\/p>\n

Mas aos teus olhos, eu era sempre suficiente. Sempre me disseste que eu era exatamente quem estava destinado a ser.<\/p>\n

Deus fez-me assim por uma raz\u00e3o e eu sei que devo estar grata por isso. Somos todos \u00fanicos e aprender a aceitar todos os nossos defeitos faz parte da vida da qual ningu\u00e9m pode escapar.\"umaQuando a minha vida era boa, tu eras o \u00fanico feliz por mim, enquanto todos os outros tinham inveja.<\/p>\n

I know that can be harder than being with somebody through bad times. People find comfort in the misery of others because they realize that they are not alone in theirs. In a way, that\u2019s human and pretty normal.<\/p>\n

But you are better than that. No matter what stage of your life you are in, you are always happy for others or you empathize with their sadness. It\u2019s a gift, I\u2019m telling you.<\/p>\n

Acho que o mundo s\u00f3 precisa de mais pessoas como tu. Seria um s\u00edtio melhor para viver.<\/p>\n

I know you don\u2019t see yourself in the way I\u2019ve written here, but that\u2019s only because you\u2019ve never looked at yourself through my eyes.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

You do deserve the world because you\u2019re there for people who <\/i><\/b>preciso de si<\/i><\/b><\/a>e fazem deste mundo um lugar verdadeiramente melhor.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Se ainda est\u00e3o a pensar porque \u00e9 que estou a escrever isto carta aberta ao meu melhor amigo<\/a>A raz\u00e3o pela qual n\u00e3o me lembro de ter feito isto a ti, ao melhor amigo que uma pessoa pode desejar, tem duas raz\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

First, I want to tell you that I see you. And I admire everything you\u2019ve shown me till this moment. I admire your kindness, your courage, and your drive.<\/p>\n

Mesmo quando cais, nunca ficas no ch\u00e3o. E sempre que eu caio, tu puxas-me para cima.<\/p>\n

E quero agradecer-te por me teres escolhido e por fazeres parte da minha vida. Estou eternamente grato por ter algu\u00e9m como tu ao meu lado.<\/p>\n

Quero recordar-vos que merecem muito mais do que aquilo que est\u00e3o a receber.<\/p>\n

I want to remind you that you can\u2019t just keep on giving, you have to take something back from time to time.\"aIf you exhaust yourself emotionally, if you harm your own mental health, there will be nothing to give to others or to yourself. You can\u2019t pour from an empty cup.<\/p>\n

Fa\u00e7a o seu <\/b>topo <\/b>autocuidado<\/b><\/a> prioridade para se mimar e amar cada dia mais.<\/b><\/p>\n

Pod\u00edamos planear uma pequena escapadela de fim de semana s\u00f3 para n\u00f3s as duas ou pod\u00edamos organizar uma festa de bem-estar s\u00f3 para raparigas em casa? Ou podemos organizar uma festa do pijama com filmes de mi\u00fadas em voga na Netflix.<\/p>\n

We didn’t do it for ages and I really miss hanging out with you alone and in person. Thank God for this modern technology and social media because I don’t know how I could live without talking with you every day.<\/p>\n

Remember that you also deserve the true love, respect, kindness and everything else you\u2019re unselfishly pouring onto others.<\/p>\n

Remember that you need to do things for yourself, too. And don\u2019t forget that I am here for you just as much as you are for me.<\/p>\n

One day, you\u2019re going to be standing by my side on my dia do casamento<\/a>O meu pai, que me fez perder os nervos e se riu o dia todo comigo, como sempre fazemos. Mal posso esperar para partilhar esse momento convosco, juntamente com uma vida inteira de mem\u00f3rias que nos esperam!<\/p>\n

I hope you know how loved, adored, and appreciated you are. By me and by everyone whose life you\u2019ve selflessly entered. You are a gem that shines brighter than the sun.<\/p>\n
