Por vezes, agarramo-nos \u00e0s coisas com tanta for\u00e7a que isso causa muito mais danos do que se as deix\u00e1ssemos ir.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because there\u2019s a constant struggle<\/a> between what we feel and what we know, like the famous fight – cora\u00e7\u00e3o vs. mente.<\/em><\/p>\n

Apesar de sabermos que o melhor seria deixar ir, por vezes parece imposs\u00edvel. Por vezes, deixar ir parece que falh\u00e1mos em fazer com que o nosso amor ficasse.<\/p>\n

And even the thought of letting go is so painful that we would rather stay somewhere we don\u2019t belong. We would tolerate being miserable and unhappy rather than letting go of the one we care deeply for.<\/p>\n

Somos t\u00e3o teimosos e persistentes em fazer a nossa rela\u00e7\u00e3o funcionar que acabamos por ficar ainda mais magoados. Continuamos a pensar que, se ansiarmos o suficiente por algo, essa coisa vai mudar.<\/p>\n

Faz-nos esperar por algo que nunca acontecer\u00e1. N\u00e3o perder\u00edamos de vista tudo o que poderia ser se nos deix\u00e1ssemos ir. Porque nunca sabemos o que o futuro nos reserva.<\/p>\n

We know now that by letting go of them we didn\u2019t give up on ourselves. We know it means that for once we chose ourselves.<\/p>\n

Escolhemos tornar a nossa vida melhor e mais feliz. Significa que queremos aquela paz interior que nunca tivemos com eles. Significa que abrimos espa\u00e7o para que coisas melhores venham ao nosso encontro.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we didn\u2019t give up on love. We gave real love a chance by letting go of the one who wasn\u2019t meant to be. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
