A minha m\u00e3e \u00e9 a minha hero\u00edna. Sempre foi e sempre ser\u00e1. Ela \u00e9 uma senhora especial que me deu uma vida fant\u00e1stica e hoje quero partilhar o quanto ela significa para mim.<\/p>\n

It’s true when they say that a mother’s love knows no bounds.<\/p>\n

Through thick and thin, good and bad, a mom is a constant. Even though I don’t tell her nearly often enough, my mom is my own personal hero.<\/p>\n

She makes juggling motherhood, career, and an array of other things she does seem like a breeze. But I know it’s not.<\/p>\n

She’s the most selfless person I’ve ever met who welcomes everyone into her life with open arms.<\/p>\n

She is the most solid support system I’ve ever had and the absolute best mom I ever could’ve hoped for. And I think it’s high time I put my appreciation for her in writing.<\/p>\n

Whether I’m struggling with boyfriend issues, having a hard time at work, or falling out with a close friend, she’s the one who gives the best advice.<\/p>\n

And I appreciate it now more than I ever could’ve imagined. Nothing could replace the warmth with which she speaks and the tenderness she exudes. My mom, my hero, my world.<\/p>\n

My mom inspires me more than she knows. I’ve seen her through every single endeavor she’s taken on and she’s handled every single one with dignity and grace.<\/p>\n

When things don’t go her way, she’s the last to ever complain. She keeps trying and pushing until she sees results.<\/p>\n

When I observe her with my dad, I can’t help but smile like a schoolgirl.<\/p>\n

I do, and that person is my momma. I don’t know what it is, but when she gives me a hug, it’s like every single thing that has been bothering me vanishes in an instant.<\/p>\n

Nothing is important anymore as I know that she’s there and everything is somehow okay again. It’s inexplicable yet so soothing and reassuring.<\/p>\n

Nothing compares to a mom’s hug. No matter how old you are, a mom’s hug just hits different! Her closeness means everything, especially when your world is crumbling down.<\/p>\n

Sometimes I feel like I don’t deserve her. But I know she’d never let me say that out loud, which just makes me extra grateful to be able to experience her love every single day.<\/p>\n

4. She is the most selfless person I’ve ever known<\/h2>\n

When my sister and I need anything, she’s there. When my dad needs any kind of help, she’s on it. When her friends depend on her for something, she’d never think of letting them down.<\/p>\n

It’s simply not in her nature to be selfish \u2013 even though at times, she could learn to say no, but I know that she would never want to.<\/p>\n

Para ela, ajudar os outros \u00e9 algo natural, independentemente do inc\u00f3modo que possa causar. E o melhor de tudo?<\/p>\n

She doesn’t expect anything in return.<\/p>\n

That’s perhaps my favorite thing about her. She’s a true hero when it comes to everyone in her life and she wouldn’t have it any other way.<\/p>\n

She’s always been my number one role model, but only recently have I realized the impact her selflessness has had on my life.<\/p>\n

When she loves, it’s with everything she’s got. My mom hasn’t had the easiest life. I know that to be a fact, and yet, her love is the safest haven I’ve ever known.<\/p>\n

Perhaps it’s because she knows what it’s like to not be loved the way you deserve to be loved. Whatever the reason, being around her is like being in the warmest company ever.<\/p>\n

She’s appreciative, kind, humble, and treats everyone with such devotion and consideration. She tells me ”I love you” on a daily basis, so much that I feel bad for not saying it first sometimes.<\/p>\n

She’d never show it, but I know that sometimes she needs a little extra love too. I make sure I give it to her because that’s the least I can do for my real-life superhero.<\/p>\n

The deepest bond I have is with my mother. Even when we’re on the outs, I know she’d protect me against anything.<\/p>\n

And if that’s not pure, selfless love, nothing is.<\/p>\n

6. Ela ensinou-me muito<\/h2>\n

If I didn’t have my mom to steer me in the right direction, I honestly don’t know where I’d be right now.<\/p>\n

She has taught me more than she will ever know. Through her actions and words, I’ve become the woman I am today. And I finally realized that I never stopped learning from her.<\/p>\n

Gra\u00e7as a ela, sei que quando algu\u00e9m me trata mal, isso n\u00e3o tem nada a ver comigo e tem tudo a ver com as suas pr\u00f3prias inseguran\u00e7as.<\/p>\n

Costumava envolver-me sempre que era provocado, mas agora j\u00e1 sei o que fazer.<\/p>\n

Ela ensinou-me que nem toda a gente merece o meu tempo. Por isso, agora, em vez de ripostar, viro as costas e sigo em frente com a minha vida.<\/p>\n

I know who truly loves me and who never did. And all that thanks to incredible advice she keeps giving me through life. In my world, every day is Mother’s Day, because a mom’s job is never finished.<\/p>\n

7. O riso dela \u00e9 o meu som preferido<\/h2>\n

Hearing my mother laugh makes me so happy that I could scream. Knowing she’s happy is my happiness too.<\/p>\n

She is the most hardworking woman ever. She doesn’t know when to stop. So when she takes a bit of time to decompress, relax, and enjoy some much-deserved free time, nothing makes me happier.<\/p>\n

Espero que um dia eu possa significar tanto para os meus filhos como ela significa para mim.<\/p>\n

I never could understand the importance of a mom until I reached a certain age. If you told me 15 years ago that hearing my mom laugh would be my happy place, I’d call you crazy.<\/p>\n

Not that I didn’t love her back then \u2013 I did! It’s just that back then, my priorities were different. But as you grow older, you learn to see value in the simplest things.<\/p>\n

You need to go through certain phases of life that ultimately show you how much you were shaped by this incredible woman. Without her, your life wouldn’t be half as good as it now.<\/p>\n

8. Ela incentiva-me a continuar a seguir os meus sonhos<\/h2>\n

What I love most about her is her constant confidence that I’ll do the right thing. Even when I doubt my own abilities. Even when I’m on the verge of giving up. She’s always there to catch me when I fall.<\/p>\n

I’ve had days, weeks, even months when I felt directionless, not knowing where my life was going. It was as if I was wandering aimlessly, unsure of where I was going to end up.<\/p>\n

And when I\u2019d feel most fragile and most vulnerable, she\u2019d be my voice of reason. She is the one who\u2019s kept assuring me not to ever let my mind bury me.<\/p>\n

That I\u2019m strong, capable, and full of possibilities. She never lets me be so harsh with myself. She\u2019s always seen potential when I don\u2019t and if not for her, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today.<\/p>\n

Giving up was so easy. But not in her world. She doesn’t know of such a word. And thankfully, neither do I.<\/p>\n

Today, I am doing what I always wanted to be doing. I just never imagined I’d get there. But she knew. She always knew.<\/p>\n

9. Ela diz-me a verdade dura quando eu preciso de a ouvir<\/h2>\n

Aprecio muito as pessoas que s\u00e3o capazes de nos dizer a verdade honesta, por mais desconfort\u00e1vel que seja. Essas s\u00e3o as pessoas de que precisamos na vida.<\/p>\n

E a minha m\u00e3e \u00e9 o ep\u00edtome de uma deusa que diz a verdade. Ela sabe como me dizer a verdade diretamente, sem rebu\u00e7ados.<\/p>\n

She’ll never stroke my ego by telling me sweet lies she thinks I want to hear. Where would that ever get me?<\/p>\n

Absolutely nowhere. That’s why I count on her to tell me what not many would dare.<\/p>\n

If I start seeing a shady guy, she’ll call me on it. My friends hint vaguely because they don’t want me to feel bad, but my mom will rip him a new one as if it was nothing!<\/p>\n

I appreciate it because I tend to fall blindly and not see people’s faults when I fall in love. God knows where I’d be if she didn’t open my eyes when I needed it the most.<\/p>\n

And not just boyfriend-wise. It’s about every part of my life. Whichever decision I make, I run it by her first. Because I know that’s the only way to know if I’m on the right track.<\/p>\n

Dizer a verdade \u00e9, por vezes, a coisa mais dif\u00edcil de sempre, mas, mesmo quando d\u00f3i, posso contar com ela para me dizer a verdade. Naquele momento, parece um pouco exagerado, mas no final, ela salva-me sempre de mim.<\/p>\n

10. She loves me when I’m unlovable<\/h2>\n

Sei que todos n\u00f3s temos dias em que nos sentimos muito em baixo. At\u00e9 a pessoa mais positiva do mundo tem os seus dias maus. E eu considero-me extremamente positiva e otimista.<\/p>\n

Mas s\u00f3 ela sabe o quanto eu me debato internamente.<\/p>\n

As pessoas pensam que nos conhecem, mas h\u00e1 sempre uma parte que escondemos do mundo. H\u00e1 sempre uma pequena fra\u00e7\u00e3o que n\u00e3o se sente \u00e0 vontade para partilhar com ningu\u00e9m. N\u00e3o \u00e9?<\/p>\n

And no matter how hard I try to hide it, there is no hiding anything from her. She knows my moods better than anyone. She recognizes when I’m struggling, no matter the broadness of my smile.<\/p>\n

She notices when I’m down even when I’m putting on my brave face. I still don’t know how I feel about that, as the last thing I want is burdening my momma with my worries.<\/p>\n

But I guess it’s her job to know. And when she does, she makes sure to show me love even at my most unlovable.<\/p>\n

When I’m pushing her away, she’s closer to me than ever. When I’m hiding my sorrow, she encourages me to let it all out. When I hate myself, she loves me twice as much.<\/p>\n

When I feel impossibly hard to be loved, she proves me wrong. I don’t know where she gathers the strength and will to be as lovable as she is, but it’s something else!<\/p>\n

E a minha eterna esperan\u00e7a \u00e9 ser um dia t\u00e3o forte, inteligente, engenhosa e incrivelmente paciente como ela!<\/p>\n

I don’t know what I did to deserve such an incredible woman as my mom, but one thing’s for sure. I will never, ever stop being thankful. She is, and always will be, my real-life superhero!<\/em><\/p>\n
