Independentemente do quanto ele significava para si ou do quanto o amava, nenhum amor pode ser uma desculpa para permitir que um homem tratam-no como uma op\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/a><\/b> I\u2019m sure of this because I, too, have learned it the hard way.<\/p>\n

Como a hist\u00f3ria come\u00e7a sempre, houve um tipo que reparou em mim. Come\u00e7\u00e1mos a passar tempo juntos e eu apaixonei-me por ele. Ele era doce, charmoso e simp\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n

He was almost perfect and soon I had so many butterflies in my stomach that I thought I\u2019d faint each time he looked at me.<\/p>\n

Mas, it didn\u2019t just occur to me that there was something happening between us nor did I just randomly decided to have feelings for him. He made me fall for him. <\/b><\/p>\n

He was the one to tell me how much he was into me and how much he wanted to try to see how things would work out between us. He said that he wanted me and that\u2019s all I got. I only got his words, with zero effort.<\/p>\n

We were on and off and went round and round and I kept waiting for him to choose me. But he wasn\u2019t gonna do that. I mean, why would he?<\/p>\n

I\u2019d already proved to him that I\u2019d be waiting for him no matter whom else he spent his time with the most.<\/p>\n

Well, you know what? That was one huge pile of crap. He wasn\u2019t special at all. It was me who made him so special. It was me who gave him all those divine traits, based only on the promises he gave me.<\/p>\n

I know I should\u2019ve known better, but I fell so hard for him that there was no possibility that I\u2019d ever use my head to think about him.<\/b><\/p>\n

It was always my heart that was making decisions. Turned out that my heart isn\u2019t really the best organ to rely on.<\/p>\n

Eu era t\u00e3o alheia \u00e0s coisas que ele fazia. <\/b>Esqueci-me do meu valor e esqueci-me completamente dos meus valores. Deixei-o tratar-me como uma op\u00e7\u00e3o. Deixei-o ir e vir como quisesse.<\/p>\n

Esperei ansiosamente pelo seu texto durante dias, apenas para ficar desiludida com algumas tretas que ele escreveu apenas para me manter agarrada. <\/b><\/p>\n

Then I decided I deserved more than someone\u2019s crumbs.<\/b> I decided I was worth being someone\u2019s first option and if he wasn\u2019t willing to put me at the top of his priority list then he didn\u2019t deserve to be in my life at all.<\/p>\n

Por isso, deixei de o deixar tratar-me como uma op\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/b>I actually decided I didn\u2019t want him to treat me either way because I realized he was not the right one for me, no matter how much I wished he was.<\/p>\n

There is no need to beg for his attention because he\u2019d give you all his time if he thought anything was serious with you. <\/b><\/p>\n

I stopped answering his random messages, I stopped romanticizing his 3am calls when he was drunk and I gave up waiting for someone who wasn\u2019t headed my way to begin with.<\/p>\n

All that happened to me got me thinking and I couldn\u2019t help but wonder: Quantas raparigas permitem que os homens as tratem como uma op\u00e7\u00e3o? <\/b><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t ever let a man dictate your worth. If you do, you\u2019ll end up waiting to be chosen by a man who has everyone else on his priority list above you. And it will be the worst feeling in this world.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t ever let a man treat you like an option. If he doesn\u2019t want to choose you, do yourself a favor and choose yourself. Choose to walk away. <\/b><\/p>\n

Even if you don\u2019t want to, even if you love him to the moon and back, even if you can\u2019t picture your life without him, sometimes you\u2019re obliged to be your own hero and understand that even though there are people you can\u2019t live without, they\u2019re perfectly capable of living without you.<\/p>\n

If he lets you wonder if he likes you or not then he isn\u2019t right one for you.<\/b> O homem certo nunca deixaria a sua rapariga questionar o seu afeto<\/a>, he\u2019d be the one to make sure she felt like on the top of the world with him.<\/p>\n

He wouldn\u2019t just talk, he\u2019d make sure that his words were followed by his actions.<\/p>\n

So if he isn\u2019t treating you right, if you\u2019re not on his priority list, walk away. <\/b><\/p>\n

It might be painful at first, but after some time, after you grow enough to be able to figure some things, you\u2019ll see how walking away from someone who treats you like an option is the best thing you could do.<\/p>\n

Asking him to choose you but staying even after he doesn\u2019t would mean that you’re allowing him to do to you whatever he wants.<\/b><\/p>\n

It would show him you\u2019re weak and that he\u2019s the one in charge of your life.<\/p>\n

But walking away would show him your determination and would show him you\u2019re not just a pretty face.<\/p>\n

It would show him you\u2019re a girl who\u2019s perfectly capable of taking care of herself.<\/p>\n

So walk away from anyone who doesn\u2019t see your worth. Because there will be someone who\u2019ll thank you for freeing your path for him. <\/b><\/p>\n

There will be someone worthy who\u2019ll choose to see your worth but only if you move all the toxic people out of his way.<\/p>\n

So walk away and never let anyone treat you like an option. You deserve to be someone’s priority.<\/p>\n
