Eu costumava pensar que rela\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00f3xicas<\/a> s\u00e3o apenas rela\u00e7\u00f5es apaixonadas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Back then I didn\u2019t know what a toxic relationship was, but I assumed that obsession, worry, fights, and over-the-top expressions of love are what make a passionate relationship.<\/p>\n

Enganei-me redondamente. N\u00e3o s\u00f3 estava enganado como me custou o meu tempo, a minha sa\u00fade e tudo o mais que investi nessas rela\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In some of them, I even questioned my sanity. After being blamed for things I didn\u2019t do, criticized for my choices, and lied to regularly, it\u2019s safe to say I started feeling like I was going crazy.<\/p>\n

Felizmente, decidi fazer uma paragem completa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quando me apercebi de como me estava a tratar mal, decidi mudar as coisas.<\/p>\n

Nenhum homem vale a minha sanidade.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Isto fez-me decidir escrever a minha pr\u00f3pria lista de coisas que vou praticar na minha vida a partir de agora:<\/p>\n

Desfrutarei plenamente da vida.<\/h2>\n

Life\u2019s too short for unnecessary drama. I want to enjoy the beautiful things in life.<\/p>\n

A bad relationship consumes your life. You don\u2019t see anything else besides your partner and your relationship. The rest of the world ceases to exist and that\u2019s just sad because life is beautiful.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s exactly why I remind myself to focus on all the good things in my life.<\/p>\n

Vou manter-me livre de dramas.<\/h2>\n

Sometimes I just can\u2019t believe that some random guy clouded my vision so much. The whole drama I was involved in seems so stupid right now.<\/p>\n

I lost so much of my energy trying to fix what couldn\u2019t be fixed, I\u2019ve had enough.<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t try to help people who don\u2019t want to be helped.<\/h2>\n

The truth is you can\u2019t change anyone who doesn\u2019t want the same. The only thing that will do is drive tu<\/em> louco.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t stress over things you can\u2019t control. That includes other people.<\/p>\n

If someone genuinely wants to be with you, they won\u2019t play games. They\u2019ll be straight to the point.<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t tolerate someone else\u2019s immaturity.<\/h2>\n

I can\u2019t even recall how many times I was left hanging while he went around having fun and acting like nothing happened.<\/p>\n

O que me leva \u00e0 minha pr\u00f3xima decis\u00e3o:<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t let anyone make me feel crazy again.<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re still not aware of this, hear me out. It\u2019s not normal to constantly fight with someone. It\u2019s not passion \u2013 it\u2019s just stupid and hurtful. That\u2019s not a healthy relationship.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not normal to tolerate things you wouldn\u2019t tolerate from your friends.<\/p>\n

Oh, and friends! They\u2019ve heard so much of my BS instead of just enjoying my company and having a good time, that\u2019s why I\u2019ve decided:<\/p>\n

Vou estimar os meus amigos e desfrutar plenamente da nossa rela\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/h2>\n

Men come and go, but true friends are for life. Until you\u2019re sure that you\u2019ve met the one, make sure to care for your friends who\u2019ve been there for you through the tough times.<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t lose my energy on unimportant things.<\/h2>\n

Preocupar-me e stressar com a rela\u00e7\u00e3o custou-me muito. Causou estragos na minha sa\u00fade mental<\/a> e tive de percorrer um longo caminho para me curar.<\/p>\n

I lost so much energy on unnecessary drama and feelings of anger and hurt when I could\u2019ve just removed myself from the whole situation.<\/p>\n

Foram as m\u00e1s rela\u00e7\u00f5es que me causaram tanto sofrimento, mas acabaram por me fazer apreciar mais as coisas boas da vida.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s important is to always keep moving forward and not lose hope that better things are coming.<\/p>\n

Aprendemos cometendo erros. E com a aprendizagem, crescemos.<\/strong><\/p>\n
