El núcleo de la amistad
Si lo piensas bien, verdadera amistad es una de las relaciones más significativas y duraderas de tu vida.
Un buen amigo is worth more than ten fake ones! And if you’re lucky, you’re stuck with that friend until you are here no longer.
La amistad es lealtad y compromiso.
It’s a promise to stand by your friend through thick and thin. It’s holding their hand through all of their storms and wiping away their tears when life throws them a curveball.
La amistad significa forjar un vínculo tan fuerte que nada pueda separaros.

I’m sure we all have our experiencias propias donde tener un amigo de verdad te ayudó a superar un periodo realmente oscuro de la vida. Yo lo sé.
Y en ese periodo concreto de mi vida es cuando me di cuenta de la increíble importancia de tener tu seres queridos y lo crucial que es contar con ese único mejor amigo que te amará cuando olvides amarte a ti mismo.
Ese amigo que hace que todo merezca la pena
Me gusta pensar que tengo un pequeño círculo de amigos a los que puedo llamar amigos de verdad.
Through different stages of my life, I’ve encountered many people, of which some have become an irreplaceable part of my life.
De toda esa gente, siempre había una persona (yo la llamo mi mejor amigo, pero ella es honestamente todo para mí) que estaba ahí a través de absolutamente todo.
Cada desamor, cada examen suspendido, cada trabajo de mierda, cada drama con mi familia.
Ella fue mi constante a través de todo.

Este mejor amigo mía es la más bella ser humano que he conocido, por dentro y por fuera.

Cuando estaba pasando por todo tipo de mierdas en mi vida, ella era la única en la que podía confiar.
And honestly, if not for her, I don’t know where I’d be right now.

Life gets just so fucked up and you can’t deal with talking to anyone and explaining it. It’s too painful.
You’d rather just be on a desert island and alone with your shitty thoughts.
That is what I was going through, and to be frank, I wasn’t being a really buen amigo.
Pero ella nunca se rindió conmigo. Nunca dejó de quererme. Nunca se enfadó conmigo por no haber iniciado una conversación o haberle enviado un mensaje de texto para decirle que estaba bien.
She never had anything but complete understanding of all the shitty things that were happening and all she wanted was for me to know that I’ve got her!
Y eso me hizo darme cuenta de lo increíblemente importante y útil que es tener un amigo en los momentos más jodidos de tu vida.
Not everyone sticks around when you’re difficult to love, but the real ones do.
Y después de haber pasado por absolutamente todo con esta increíble mujer, me di cuenta de que llevar a una amiga así por sentado es una de las peores cosas que puedes hacer en la vida.

Taking care of a friendship and nurturing it should be something that never leaves your mind. It’s so simple.

Call your friends and ask them how they are. Shoot them a text out of the blue and let them know you’re thinking about them.
All those friendships that are now entering your mind while you’re reading this are the exact ones that you need to preserve and take care of.
Aquí todos somos adultos, todos sabemos que el contacto constante no es más que algo que anhelamos.
Las vidas se vuelven tan desordenadas, todo el mundo tiene trabajo, familia, hijos, y a medida que te haces mayor, te das cuenta de que tener esa llamada de 2 horas con tu mejor amigo simplemente ponerse al día en todo es ahora un sueño.
