Ya en el siglo XIX, las enfermeras fueron quienes introdujeron prácticas sanitarias durante las guerras y salvaron a miles de personas, si no más, de contraer infecciones y morir.
Fueron ellos quienes ayudaron a los pacientes que padecían enfermedades de transmisión desconocida cuando todos los demás tenían miedo de hacerlo.

Nurses invented many things and discovered many useful practices that save people’s lives to this day, just by being there for their patients, listening to their needs and caring for their health and lives.
Let’s not forget to mention all the occasions when nurses react in time and save people in public places by recognizing symptoms of strokes and other dangers. True heroes!

To be a nurse is to be a brave human being. To put patients’ needs first is something remarkable and worthy of praise after all.
