Being committed to someone is not something to take lightly. It’s not something that depends on your mood or current state of mind. Commitment means that you will choose me and be there for me, regardless of any outside factor that might make it hard for you to love me that day.

Being committed means more than just love. It means more than just labeling someone your ‘boyfriend’ or ‘girlfriend’. This is something you shouldn’t rush into, unless you are fully ready and aware of everything it entails. Commitment is a big deal and it’s much more than just a label.

Comprometerse significa no volver a hacer nada a medias. Significa llegar hasta el final y darlo todo.

Commitment means being completely dedicated and faithful to one person. It means no longer weighing up your other options or looking at anything other than me. You are fully invested in making us a priority and don’t have anywhere else to be.

Commitment means you are not going to cheat on me. You are not even going to think about kissing anyone else, nor giving another girl false hopes. You are a taken man, dedicated to your partner and you make that perfectly clear wherever you are. And it doesn’t scare you. That is when you know it’s real.

You are already with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, so you really don’t have any need to go around and engage in meaningless flings. You knowhow hurtful that would be and you love me too much to even think about it.

Compromiso significa que estás dispuesto a ser completamente transparente conmigo. Aunque estés acostumbrado a guardarte ciertas cosas para ti, sabes que comprometerte conmigo significa compartir lo bueno y mal conmigo.

Sabes que no hay otra forma de que funcionemos a menos que ambos podamos compartir las peores partes de nosotros mismos con el otro.

No hay juicio. No hay ira. Sólo honestidad y un hombro sobre el que llorar.

Commitment means always putting our relationship first. It means always putting in the effort, even when it’s not convenient for you.

Significa saber que no importa lo que la vida nos depare, siempre encontraremos la manera de que funcione. Aprecias demasiado nuestro amor para dejarnos escabullirse a la primera señal de problemas.

Compromiso significa estar dispuesto a compromiso. Significa que tomamos juntos todas las decisiones que afectan a nuestra vida. Significa aprender a dejarme a veces hacer las cosas a mi manera, sabiendo que algún día haré lo mismo por ti.

You know that the decisions we make impact both of us, so you know it’s important to always find the middle ground. It’s not always going to be comfortable but in the long run, you know we’re worth it.

Commitment also means accepting that neither one of us is perfect. We are all flawed and it’s only a matter of accepting and loving each other despite and debido a our flaws and quirks. It’s what makes us all different and unique!

Commitment means that you will always stand up for me when I am being wronged. Be that in a room full of people or in private when it’s just the two of us. It means you will always defend me and stick up for me and never make me question your loyalty. And knowing that I’d do the exact same for you.

Commitment means realizing that, yeah, there will be fights, we will come to blows at times… but at the end of the day, you know that it’s not you against me. It’s you and me against the problem.

And finally, commitment means knowing how to apologize when you are wrong. We are not always both going to be right. And it’s extremely important to be able to apologize to one another when we realize we are in the wrong about something.

Da a la otra persona la sensación de ser apreciada y demuestra la capacidad de asumir nuestra mierda.

Si vamos a construir un futuro juntos, es importante que entiendas que no hay futuro sin todas estas cosas. Esto es lo que construye una relación buena, estable y duradera.
