Deus tem um plano para todos nós

Destiny. God created a plan – a destiny for every ser humano. É realmente muito poderosa e ninguém a pode afetar grandemente.   

Algumas coisas estão destinadas a acontecer e, mais cedo ou mais tarde, acontecerão. Outras coisas nunca acontecerão, por muito que as queiras e lutes por elas. 

Sometimes, there will be some difficult periods in your life and you’ll feel desperate because you can do nothing about it.

Nessas situações, tudo o que se pode fazer é agradecer a Deus por tudo e pedir-Lhe a Sua bênção nesses períodos de escuridão. 

Rest assured, He’ll never give you more than you can handle. Trust God and put all your hopes in Him. He is the only one who can help you. 

O poder da oração

If you’re experiencing something bad and painful, if you’re going through a rough patch, the only way you can help yourself is by praying to God. He’ll never let you down. 

É preciso acreditar em o poder da oração because it’s truly the strongest weapon against pain and evil. That’s your protection. 

Also, don’t only pray to God when you have problems or are hurt. Pray to Him every night before you go to bed and thank Him every morning you wake up. 

Thank God for all the good things in your life, but also for the other, not-so-good things. Don’t feel angry or disappointed if He doesn’t answer your prayer immediately – or ever. 

He knows what’s best for you. Sometimes we aren’t aware of that which is bad for us, so we ask for them. God won’t give that to us because He always knows best. 

A si próprio

Acredita sempre em ti. Na tua força interior. Na tua beleza. Na tua inteligência. Na tua voz interior. No teu instinto. 

That’s the only way you can truly enjoy your life. Look in the mirror and tell it that you like every single piece of what you see. 

Coloca-te sempre em primeiro lugar. Por muito que ames ou gostes de alguém, nunca permitas que alguém te faça passar por parvo. 

Don’t lose yourself when you’re in a relationship. Don’t lose your identity – who you are. Never allow anyone to control you. You are your patrão próprio e só tu podes controlar a tua vida. 

Ter consciência do seu próprio valor. É preciso saber o quanto merece e nunca se contentar com menos do que isso. 

Tudo começa por trabalhar na sua autoestima. Temos de dizer a nós próprios que somos suficientemente corajosos, suficientemente belos, suficientemente inteligentes e que podemos fazer tudo o que quisermos.

O amor familiar é para sempre

There are different kinds of love, but only one is definitely forever. It’s the love between family members. 

It’s the kind of love that moves the world. That’s undoubtedly the most perfect form of love. That strong bond between family members is a coisa bonita. 

You don’t get to choose your family. God chose them for you – probably why family love is so perfect and important.

This is the only love that is meant to last forever. People can come and go from your life, but your family is always there. That’s why you should never put anyone ahead of your siblings. 

Os verdadeiros amigos são uma dádiva preciosa e rara

If you have a real friend, one person you know for sure will always be there for you, you’re a lucky ser humano. Believe me, true friends can’t be found so easily nowadays. 

Há muita gente falsa por aí. Há muita gente que só finge ser seu amigo porque quer usá-lo ou quer algo de si. 

Um verdadeiro amigo will never hurt you intentionally because they care for you and your well-being. They’re always honest with you, no matter what the situation is. 

Acreditam em si e em tudo o que faz. Estão sempre presentes para nos ajudar a levantar quando a vida nos derruba. That’s why friends are there. 

Se tiver pelo menos um amigo honesto, aprecie-o e mostre-lhe que também acredita nele e na vossa amizade. Mostre-lhe frequentemente o quanto a sua amizade significa para si. 

Ainda há pessoas boas por aí

You’ve probably been disappointed many times in your life. I’m sure many people have betrayed and failed you. 

Such awful betrayals from people you thought truly care for you can make you think that there are no good people anymore. Don’t think like that. It’ll only make you bitter and unhappy. It’ll make your life toxic. 

Mesmo que as pessoas me tenham magoado tantas vezes, Eu quero acreditar que ainda existem pessoas boas neste mundo. E tu também devias acreditar. 

You’ll see that God will send someone in your life one day that will prove it. Someone that will make you forget about those terrible past experiences. 

One day, you’ll meet someone who’ll be so good to you, they’ll immediately restore your faith in humanity. Just wait and don’t give up on people.

…to those who wait. E de facto, isto eu acredito com todo o meu coração. Sei que, por vezes, a vida nos atinge tão duramente que pensamos que não há saída. 

Mas existe e existirá sempre. Basta esperar. Esperar e rezar a Deus pelas Suas bênçãos e misericórdia. 

Nada é permanente nesta vida. Tudo pode mudar num só momento. Esses momentos negros passarão e coisas melhores virão. Eu prometo, basta ser paciente. 

Amor à primeira vista

Many people say that they don’t believe in amor à primeira vista. Como é que não se pode acreditar nisso quando há tantas pessoas que se apaixonam por alguém à primeira vista? 

It’s just when you see that one person for the first time, you feel like your whole body is vibrating. 

Sente-se imediatamente borboletas no estômago. As tuas pupilas dilatam. Aquelas lindas faíscas de amor aparecem nos teus olhos.

O amor é a única coisa pela qual vale a pena lutar

I agree that some people don’t deserve to be forgiven, but for your own well-being, do it anyway and let it go. 

Never hold grudges. It won’t do you any good. That bitterness and anger will make you frustrated and harm you in so many other ways. 

O perdão fazer de si uma pessoa melhor. Ao libertar-se de tantos sentimentos negativos, ficará mais calmo e em paz. 

Segundas oportunidades

Somos todos seres humanos. We are all weak. That’s why we make mistakes. We hurt others or ourselves, sometimes even unintentionally. 

That’s why we all deserve a segunda oportunidade. Perdoa a todos e dá-lhes um segunda oportunidade para provar o seu valor. 

Por vezes, vale a pena, uma vez que a pessoa a quem foi dada essa oportunidade irá frequentemente apreciá-la e tentar não voltar a trair a sua confiança.

Actually, there is so much beauty in new beginnings. Most people are afraid of it, but they aren’t aware of how positively it can affect their lives. 

A new beginning means a new chance of finding true love and happiness. You’ll explore everything again. You’ll give new meanings to things. You’ll see how amazing it’ll make you feel. 

Actos de bondade pequenos e aleatórios

Ainda há pessoas que se levantam dos bancos dos autocarros para que os idosos se possam sentar. Ainda há quem ajude os seus vizinhos idosos nas compras ou nas tarefas domésticas.

Essas pessoas são tão raras hoje em dia, mas existem. Fazem-me acreditar na humanidade. 

Sempre que puder ajudar alguém ou fazer algo de bom para alguém, faça-o.

Say “hello” when you see someone you know and ask them about their day. Smile to the cashier. Be patient and understand if the waiter doesn’t immediately serve you.

Dar sem esperar nada em troca

If you want to give or do something nice for someone, you should only do so if you’ve decided honestly, from your heart, to do it. Don’t have some hidden motives behind that act. 

Dar e esperar algo em troca é tão hipócrita. You won’t feel good about it and if you do, it would only mean that you’re actually a phony. 

Conhecimento é poder

I know we all have our dreams and goals for the future – things that we’ve dreamed about ever since we were little kids. 

O facto é que não se pode fazer nada sem conhecimento. Seja o que for que queiras fazer no futuro, primeiro tens de aprender a fazê-lo. 

Ler. Utilizar redes sociais and the internet to learn about some new and interesting things. Learn a new language. You never know when you might need it, but I’m sure it will come in handy one day. 

O trabalho árduo compensa sempre

Pessoas de sucesso didn’t become successful overnight. They dreamed about it and worked hard to achieve it. 

Se queres fazer algo da tua vida, tens de trabalhar arduamente para isso. O caminho para o sucesso é difícil, mas acredita em mim, no final, compensa sempre. 

Quer saber como ganhar dinheiro e gostar do seu trabalho ao mesmo tempo? Encontre algo em que seja bom e dedique-se a esse trabalho.  

Pense positivo e as coisas boas acontecerão

Seja sempre otimista. Irradiar apenas energia positiva. Faça as outras pessoas sorrirem. Seja aquela pessoa que está sempre a sorrir e que faz com que os outros se sintam confortáveis à sua volta.

Todas as pessoas são iguais. Deus criou-nos a todos de forma igual. Nunca julgue alguém pela sua aparência física ou pelas suas crenças. 

Everyone should have the same rights. After all, we have more similarities than differences. That’s the only way we can all prosper in life. 

We all have the same feelings. If you’ve ever judged someone based on their differences (even if you’ve only ever thought it), think about how you would feel if someone did the same to you. 

A música pode curar a sua alma cansada

Música. A melhor maneira de relaxar e curar a sua alma cansada. Todos nós precisamos de descansar por vezes e as nossas almas são as que mais se cansam. 

Believe me. Put some music on right this moment. A song you really like… Do you feel it already? Your body is relaxed and your mind is cleared.

At this moment, you feel like you’re the only person on earth, right? Music is truly therapy. 

O chocolate é o melhor remédio

Qual é o antídoto para um coração partido? O chocolate. Qual é a cura quando alguém próximo de si o magoa ou o trai? O chocolate. E isto pode mesmo continuar. 

A conclusão? O chocolate é a melhor cura para tudo. (Espera, tenho de acrescentar também o gelado, claro!) 

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that you should eat your sadness away – that’s definitely not healthy. But, a little chocolate doesn’t hurt.

Há de facto alguns coisas bonitas acreditar que podem tornar as nossas vidas mais preenchidas e felizes. Don’t underestimate the power of every single thing on this list.
