Nadie me quiere: cómo entender y afrontar este sentimiento
We’ve all been there at some point in our lives: set alone in our rooms wondering “What if no one loves me?” It’s a horrible thought to have.
It’s a perfectly normal thought, though. We are all human beings and we have feelings.
It’s only natural we desire closeness, connection, and love and it’s natural that when we don’t have those things in our life we feel scared.

What if no one loves me? For me, the most important thing is self-love and that I’m always aware of my self-worth.
It’s the only way I’ll feel comfortable in my own skin. I don’t care if no one else loves me.

That’s the most sincere love, when someone loves you for what you are.
I have to be honest with you, I didn’t think like this when I was younger. Then, I always wanted everyone to like me.

I did things for my loved ones that I am not proud of. I didn’t think about my well-being at all.

That’s why you should be more patient and understanding with them because we all know that puberty affects teenagers in many ways.
My family members and my close friends didn’t provide me with much support.
In those difficult times, when I needed them the most, I didn’t have anyone to talk with and who could understand me.

I didn’t have a hobby. I didn’t like sports or music and I wasn’t good at them, either. History was my passion and I wanted to become an archaeologist.

My so-called ‘friends’ called me ‘stone collector’ and I didn’t know what to think about it. Many people thought I was strange and creepy.
All this increased my feelings of self-doubt, loneliness – even self-hate. I thought that I would never find someone who would love me.

Even though it hurt me so bad, I couldn’t give up on my dream. I cried almost every night because I felt like no one cared for me but I promised myself that I wouldn’t give up.
And I didn’t. I decided that I needed to become best friends with myself. I decided to work more on myself and my dreams.
I didn’t have time to bother with all those people who didn’t believe in me. I didn’t care who loved me or who didn’t, because Comprendí que el amor propio me bastaba.

If I could go back, I wouldn’t change anything. I can say now that it all helped me. My past taught me that sometimes it’s okay to feel that no one cares for me.
It taught me that sometimes it’s okay if no one loves me because it means that I am different and being different is always better, right?
It helped me with my self-esteem. Now no one can hurt me because I am used to it and know that people won’t always love me.

And I’m fine with that because I know one person who’ll never stop loving me.
A person who’ll believe in me and my dreams. A person who’ll always be there for me. Of course, that person is ME.

I think it’s okay to be alone from time to time. Being alone doesn’t mean that you are lonely. It doesn’t mean that no one cares for you or that no one will ever love you.
Sometimes you need to be alone to think about everything that’s happening in your life. Sometimes being alone can help you to find yourself, just like it helped me.
Trust me, it’s much worse when you are in a relationship but you feel lonely. It’s much worse when you are surrounded by people who make you feel unlovable.

Young people post everything on social media and it has become more important for them than their real life. They compete for who has more friends, who have better clothes…

Some teens feel like no one likes them because they don’t have enough friends or likes on Facebook or Instagram.
They don’t understand that those friends are actually fake and that those likes aren’t important.
All they can see is other people posting pictures with their ‘friends’ and getting hundreds of likes. Believe me, as you get older, it’ll become clearer to you.

You can’t have that many friends in life. Actually, you should be happy if you have two honest friends.
Don’t feel desperate if you haven’t found love, yet. It doesn’t mean that you’ll never find someone who will love you.

A lot of people will pass through your life and not all of them will like you. And that’s fine because not everyone will make it to your future.
Say “I love you” to yourself every day and believe that it is the most important love. Self-love.

You can’t build a strong relationship with another human being if you don’t manage to do it with yourself.
Look at it as a foundation for all other relationships in your life. If you can’t love yourself, how could someone else possibly love you?
Don’t try too hard to get people to love you. Sometimes you’ll only lose yourself and your dignity that way. And the sad part is that those people probably aren’t worth it.
