Have you ever wished for someone or something so badly, but you could never get it, as much as you tried?
You spend nights and nights praying to God to perform a miracle and to make you happy, but nothing is actually happening.
Have you ever been in a situation where you thought your entire life would perfectly fall in its place, if you just had that one wish granted and that one dream turned into reality?
However, as much as you beg God to do it, if seems like He refuses to hear you.
I’m sure you have because let’s face it–all of us have some goals that seem unachievable and some desires that were always unreachable.
It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about that guy you desperately want, about a long lost friend you would like to have back or about that job abroad you can’t seem to get.
The point is always the same: you give your best, you put your maximum effort and you do everything by the book.
However, despite all of this, your wish doesn’t get granted.
So consequently, you get angry, frustrated and disappointed.
Angry at yourself, angry at your cruel destiny and even angry at God.
After all, you really deserved everything you wished for and you worked very hard to get it.
So, why couldn’t He make your wish come true?
Why couldn’t He give you what you wanted and why is He punishing you, when you never did anything wrong?
Why do you have to go through all of this longing and emotional pain, when all of your troubles could go away in a blink of an eye?
Why can’t you have a perfect life you want so badly?
Why did the man you love had to leave you, when you were clearly the right choice for him?
Why did he have to walk away with that woman who will never love him the way you do?
Why couldn’t you get that promotion, when you were really the one who deserved it the most?
Why couldn’t you earn that money you worked your ass for?
Why can’t you be as lucky as other people who don’t move a finger but somehow end up with some sort of blessing?
Why do your prayers have to be left unanswered?
Well, I know that this is difficult to grasp but the truth is that you don’t always know what’s best for you, even though you think you do.
The truth is that sometimes, God is actually saving you from yourself, by not granting all of your wishes.
That He is saving you from making lousy choices, from being led by your passions only and from destroying your life.
Not only that–He is also saving you from something much bigger and better, for someone who will love you more, for a career that will make you happier or for friends who will appreciate you the way you deserve.
He is saving you for something you’re still not ready to experience.
And he is shaping you to become the person you’re destined to be.
You see, when you ask God for something, there are only three possible answers you can get: yes; yes, but later and no, because there is something better waiting for you.
So please, stop seeing your struggles as curses and start perceiving them as blessings.
Stop seeing your unanswered prayers as bad things and start perceiving them as God’s way of showing you love; as his way to protect and guard you.
Be thankful for all the closed doors, for all the people you lost and for all the missed opportunities because all of it happened with a deeper cause.
Don’t ever forget that God always has a plan for you.
That He has a perfect timing, even when you don’t see it.
So, the next time you miss out on something, remember that it happened for your greater good and that it wasn’t meant to be.
Don’t ever doubt His decisions because trust me, He knows what’s best for you, even when you don’t and He knows the way to make you happy.
Instead, just have enough faith and patience and I assure you that everything will turn out exactly how it should be.
