Entering a new chapter of your life means leaving behind all of the unsaid, all of the bad and all of the good that happened before this moment.
It means making some space for beautiful things that will enrich your life and give it another meaning.
As you’re entering a new chapter of your life, don’t forget to be thankful for everything that happened in the previous one.
Maybe the previous chapter wasn’t as enjoyable as you might have expected but life is like a book.
Some chapters are really enjoyable and you wish for them never to end, yet some are difficult to go through and they demand tremendous effort to be understood.
The mixture of feelings you get when you are reliving those chapters feels like reading the same book all over again, still not knowing in which direction it’s going.
No matter how difficult the previous chapters might have been, don’t forget to be thankful for everything you’ve gone through so far.
Be thankful for all the bad because it has taught you to appreciate the good. Be thankful for all of your battles because they have made you stronger.
Be thankful for your good health
Even if your health isn’t that great, always keep in mind that it could be worse. Be grateful for what you have and try to preserve it because there are people who would do anything to be in your shoes.
There is always worse and there is always better. Be thankful for the good and be thankful for the bad that hasn’t become worse. And be thankful to those who have helped you to preserve what you have.
Be thankful for your good friends
Be thankful for your good friends who were there for you when you needed them most. Thank them for listening to you in the small hours, when they stayed awake for you.
Thank them for cheering you up when you were feeling down and for sharing their joy with you when you needed it most.
Be thankful for your mistakes
Don’t just be thankful for what you have. Be thankful for your mistakes as well because they are here to teach you lessons. If we never made mistakes, we would never be able to learn so much from them.
Embrace your mistakes because they are there for a reason. Don’t be mad at yourself. Be thankful that you have learned a lot from your own mistakes and you will never repeat them again.
Be thankful for the love you’ve received and for the love you gave to others
Be thankful for having the ability to love with all of your heart and an open mind. Not all people are blessed with it. Show gratitude for the love you’ve received and show gratitude to yourself for the love you gave to others.
Your every beautiful word and your acts of love have made the world a better place. Your ability to love has changed someone’s life and you should thank yourself for being selfless and generous.
Be thankful for your laughter
Enter a new chapter reminding yourself of all of those funny situations where you’ve laughed with the people you love. Be thankful for all of those moments that have enriched your life and made you feel alive.
Be thankful for having the strength to laugh even when it was really hard to think of doing so.
But you’ve managed to fight your own battles and show the world that you have the strength of a warrior and the soul of an angel.
Be thankful for your time
Sometimes we don’t pay that much attention to time. It feels like it’s simply there and will always be present, no matter what you do or say.
Be grateful for spending time with your loved ones and having enough time to complete your most complex tasks.
Be grateful for every second of your life because every second turns into minutes, minutes turn into hours and hours turn into days. And days turn into memories and the feeling of gratefulness for them.
Be thankful for the kindness of strangers
Be grateful to all of the strangers who once showed you the direction to somewhere you wanted to go. Don’t take their kindness for granted.
Be grateful to all of the strangers who listened to your sufferings and reassured you that everything would be fine but you didn’t have the courage to believe them. But now you see and now you believe. Be grateful for that.
Be thankful for your tears
When you were not able to express yourself, your tears were always there to help you get through the most difficult situations.
Your tears were replacing your words and they were cleaning your soul of all the negativity.
Be thankful for all of the challenges
Be grateful for all of the challenges you’ve gone through in your previous chapters. Challenges are here to challenge us mentally and physically.
Without them, you will never be able to become stronger than you were before.
All of your inner battles have made you ten times stronger, they have taught you to appreciate yourself and to work on yourself to reach the goals you desire.
Be grateful for your pain
I know it’s difficult to be grateful for something that has almost destroyed you but please find the courage to be grateful for your pain.
Know that your pain is not in vain. Be grateful for your pain because it has taught you to appreciate life’s joys.
If it wasn’t for pain, you would never be able to know how it feels when you’re not in pain. Be grateful for yourself and for becoming the person you are today.
