4 Relationship Crimes You Should Never Forgive

4 Relationship Crimes You Should Never Forgive

None of us is perfect and we all make mistakes, especially in romantic relationships. But there are some mistakes that are more than that.

There are some things that can be qualified as relationship crimes and those are the things that should never be tolerated, despite all the love you might feel for your romantic partner.

Although forgiveness is important for every mature relationship to work out, there are some relationship crimes you shouldn’t forgive, under any circumstances whatsoever, and here they are:

1. Cheating

The first on the list of relationship crimes you should never forgive is definitely cheating. And I am not only talking about physical cheating here; I am also talking about emotional affairs, which sometimes can be more painful.

Cheating is, sadly, something that many women forgive but it is definitely something that no one can forget. This is an act of betrayal and disrespect.

If your partner cheats on you, it is a sign that he doesn’t love you enough and there is no excuse for such behavior.

Also, cheating is a sign of his immaturity and an obvious sign that he is a coward.

Although this is hard to accept, there can come a time in a relationship when one of the partners simply doesn’t love the other person anymore.

Of course, this is painful but it is all part of life. But if this happens, the only honest thing to do is walk away from the relationship in time.

If your partner chooses to explore other options while still staying by your side, he is definitely not the man you should be with, even if he repents for his actions.

2. Disrespect

The first thing that most women look for in a partner is unconditional love. But what they don’t know is that love doesn’t exist without respect.

If your partner fails to respect you as a woman and as a person, that is something you shouldn’t even think about forgiving him for.

Disrespect can mean many things but the bottom line is that you should never feel like you are in any way below your partner.

He should always have in mind to respect your integrity and opinions, even when the two of you argue, and you should never allow him to treat you differently.

If he really loves you, your partner will in no way patronize you or try and diminish your worth. Instead, the two of you should be equals in every sense of that word, walking through life shoulder to shoulder.

3. Selfishness

Every relationship, and especially a romantic one, is a two-way street. That means that both of the people involved in the relationship should put in equal effort into making it work.

It also means that it is impossible for one person’s needs to be put above the other one’s. Therefore, if you and your partner want to have a successful and healthy relationship, it’s time to put your selfishness aside.

On the other hand, if your partner only looks after his own needs and never bothers to think about you, it is obvious that he is a self-centered man who is not ready to share his life with anyone else.

Remember that compromise is the basis of every happy relationship and if your partner refuses to make any, that is something you shouldn’t forgive him for.

4. Abuse

The last, but definitely not least thing you should never ever forgive is abuse. Sadly, many women think that they are being abused only in the case when their partner physically attacks them.

But that is far from the truth.

There are numerous forms of abuse, including mental and emotional abuse and physical abuse is just one of them. The most important thing you should never forget is that abusers don’t change.

If your partner has hit you once, he will do it again, despite all of his promises.

Don’t think you are too sensitive or that you are overreacting—any situation that makes you feel abused is abuse and it is something you need to get the courage to walk away from immediately.
