Per alcuni di noi arriverà il momento in cui incontreremo l'amore della nostra vita, che non potremo avere per tutta la durata della nostra vita. Almeno, non nel modo in cui vorremmo.
Alimenteranno il nostro fuoco, metteranno il nostro cuore in fibrillazione. Sarà quella persona per la quale ci tufferemmo senza dubbio in una scogliera.
La persona che, quando siamo con lei, non conta nient'altro al mondo se non quello che si trova tra le nostre quattro mura. Ci sfiderà a livello intellettuale, in modi che non avremmo mai immaginato possibili.
Una persona, la nostra persona.
Avremo un rapporto e un legame che la maggior parte della società non capirà mai. Tuttavia, siamo quasi sempre grati per questo privilegio. Sarà avvincente, esaltante, per così dire, sconvolgente.
Tuttavia, un giorno, quell'esperienza unica nella vita finirà. Mai una chiusura completa, o una fine totale, ma comunque una fine. Qualcosa cambierà, per l'uno o per l'altro, forse anche per entrambi. Anime gemelle sì, ma non amanti per tutta la vita.
Anche se insieme o separati, il legame che c'è dentro rimarrà per sempre, per non essere mai soddisfatto da un altro. Perché, francamente, sarebbe impossibile.

Parti di voi due continueranno ad andare avanti nella vita, superandosi lentamente e gradualmente.

Thus, you’re stuck partially in your current world and partially within the world in which an intellectual part of your being lives.
So you must decide: Do you spend the duration of your life falling in and out of this intellectual world you’ve created with your person?
Your fire fueling, butterfly giving, wild and free, once in a lifetime person… or do you create a new world? A safe, sound, happy, appreciated life, where you and your best best friend can create a meaningful and fulfilled life together?
The right choice, the smart choice, is your best friend, leaving your once-in-a-lifetime person, in the past. This isn’t an easy choice, but it’s the right choice for a happy and healthy you.
You see, your person, they’re like an addiction. Once you close that door, you can’t just throw away the key. You have to remind yourself and choose to keep that door shut, daily.
It’s okay to feel nostalgic. It’s normal to wonder some days, and play the ‘what if’s’ in your mind. However, just remember, just because it’s once-in-a-lifetime doesn’t mean it’s your forever.
