Fu un uomo di molte parole, ma mai di parola

So che spesso, all'inizio di una relazione, tutti diciamo alcune cose per far innamorare l'altra persona.

We even make some promises that we don’t mean to keep. And we do it so that person will like us.

Sometimes it’s okay if they’re just little things.

Sometimes you’re allowed to lie as long as they are white lies.

Sometimes it is impossible to keep your word, and you don’t have to.

It’s reasonable for situations like this to happen.

But how many times has he failed you and broken his promises. How many times hasn’t he kept his word?

Try to count and if the number is big, then you should try to make some changes or have a ‘serious talk’ with him.

You always hoped he’d change. That he’d be more honest and try to keep his word or the promise he made.

If a man in love makes a promise, he’ll try to keep his word even if it kills him.

Do you remember how many times he promised that he’d put you at the top of his priority list?

That he’d try to spend more time with you?

How many times did he promise that he’d be more romantic, more creative, more adventurous for you?

Dal primo giorno in cui vi siete innamorati, dovevate essere la sua priorità, proprio come lui era la vostra.

But you weren’t.

Quanto ha dovuto aspettare per diventare la persona più importante della sua vita? 

Ha occupato quel posto nella vostra vita per tanti anni, quindi perché avete dovuto aspettare?

Ha mentito e bisogna esserne consapevoli.

Why didn’t he stop himself from hurting you? Why didn’t he stop lying? He let himself hurt you so many times.

Vi ha deluso così tante volte. È lui il motivo per cui la scintilla nella vostra relazione si è spenta.

Un uomo che vi ama non penserà mai di ferirvi emotivamente o di deludervi di proposito.

Si farà in quattro per assicurarsi che siate sani e salvi in ogni modo possibile e quando qualcun altro vi farà del male, si assicurerà che la paghi in un modo o nell'altro.

Gli uomini sanno bene cosa vogliono sentirsi dire le donne.

Sanno che è più facile dire a una donna ciò che ama sentirsi dire.

Prometterle qualcosa che desidera senza alcuna intenzione di mantenere la promessa.

Sanno che una bugia porta all'azione e che sparirà prima della vostra reazione.

Non ha mai mostrato segni di rimorso? Perché avrebbe dovuto? Non è un uomo onesto e sincero. Non è così coraggioso.

Accepting and admitting your mistakes requires courage and integrity – both traits he didn’t have.

Un uomo senza carattere non accetterà mai la colpa e il fatto di aver fatto qualcosa di sbagliato.

È sempre pronto a giocare a scaricabarile.

Siamo tutti esseri umani e va bene commettere errori. Tutti li commettiamo.

Ma se si ama qualcuno ci si sente in colpa ogni volta che si fa qualcosa di sbagliato e si chiede perdono.

You were convinced that it was your fault that he wasn’t keeping his word the way you wanted him to.

Pensavate che il problema fosse dentro di voi e che dovevate cambiare qualcosa se volevate che lui rimanesse.

Do you remember all those times you looked at yourself in the mirror trying to figure out why you weren’t good enough?

Do you remember how many times you cried yourself to sleep because he’d broken his promise again? And he did it countless times.

And believe me, he would have continued to do it if you hadn’t stopped him.

When you realize you can’t change him, that not even 100 ‘second chances’ or closing your eyes would make him love you and be a better man for you, that is when you’ll finally be free and start loving yourself more.

Ricordate come avete cercato di convincervi che sarebbe stato meglio stare con lui anche se vi avrebbe fatto male, piuttosto che stare completamente senza di lui.

Ricorda il giorno in cui ha deciso di liberarsi da lui.

Lasciarlo andare sarà la cosa più difficile della vostra vita, ma vi ripagherà.

One day someone else will come into your life and he’ll show you that you deserve a man who will stand behind his words and that you deserve someone who will keep his promises.

And that’s why you should be thankful to him. He’s made you realize what you deserve.

Every time he let you down, you searched for comfort in yourself, you found a strength you didn’t even know you had and ha iniziato a volersi più bene.

Valorizzatevi abbastanza da risparmiarvi ulteriori dolori.

You’ve already tried so hard to change him and to make him realize how miserable he is making you with all of his false promises.

You can’t do more than you have already done. You are also exhausted.

Datevi il tempo di guarire. You’ll feel peace very soon, you’ll actually be able to hear silence in your heart.

That’ll mean that you are ready to move on.

Che il vostro cuore è pronto per una nuova tempesta.

Don’t be afraid of that new storm. You need the strong winds to blow away what no longer serves you.

Le tempeste ci ricordano che siamo ancora vivi.

Life can’t always be great, just like the weather can’t always be sunny, because we learn through contrast.

Cresciamo attraverso i cambiamenti.

If he can’t keep his promises, then he is a man that doesn’t believe in forever.

The word ‘forever’ clearly doesn’t exist in his vocabulary.

But you believe, you believe in forever love and shouldn’t settle for someone who doesn’t.
