Quando falamos de um homem ou mulher íntegra, normalmente referimo-nos a alguém moralmente consistente. A integridade é a determinação de fazer sempre o que é correto a todo o custo.
Jesus era um homem íntegro. Ser cristão é seguir o exemplo de Cristo.
God gives us integrity. It’s the seed of goodness in people that each person needs to cultivate.
Quando a temos verdadeiramente, nenhuma tentação a pode quebrar. A person with integrity can’t be compromised because it’s a part of their being.

O que é que significa ser uma mulher íntegra?
Ser uma mulher íntegra significa viver cada dia de uma forma honesta e justa.
A integridade vem do coração. É preciso coerência nos pensamentos, decisions, and actions to build a life of integrity – consistency in choosing to do what’s right every day.
Uma mulher assim é moralmente incorruptível porque a sua integridade dá-lhe resistência contra a corrupção.
That isn’t to say that it isn’t challenging – it takes great strength and conviction to decide to do good at any cost every day.
The temptation to walk the easy path is great, yet she resists it because she couldn’t live with herself otherwise.

A woman of integrity lives life guided by her principles. We’re going to examine them one by one, but all of them come down to always doing the right thing.
Good character and a good life don’t just happen. São construídos aderindo ao normas e valores que se enquadram num código moral de forma consistente e consciente.

Let’s take a look at some examples of what a life of integrity is in practice.
1. Altruísmo
Uma mulher íntegra sente-se mais realizada quando pode fazer algo pelos outros. Her focus is on other people’s needs – she’s generous with her love, time, and resources.
Ajudar os outros e tornar as suas vidas melhores dá-lhe felicidade. Muitas vezes, coloca as necessidades dos outros acima das suas próprias.
Ao fazer tudo o que está ao seu alcance para ajudar as pessoas, a sua compaixão e caridade são expressas através de acções em vez de meras palavras.
Os seus actos altruístas diários mostram a sua dedicação em tornar o mundo um lugar melhor.
2. Responsabilidade
Temos um responsabilidade para coisas que podemos controlar. Ela compreende este facto e leva a sério a responsabilidade pessoal, social e profissional.
Desempenha as suas funções com diligência e esforço. Trabalhar em questões sociais é algo que considera ser a sua obrigação.

3. Prestação de contas
If you ever found out and there were no consequences, would you do something that isn’t right? Our character shows what we do when no one but God is looking.
A woman of integrity doesn’t follow principles out of fear of punishment but because of her character. Her moral imperative is her will to do right.

4. O perdão
Como mulher cristã, ela compreende que o perdão traz liberdade. Liberta-nos da raiva e da amargura e dá-nos paz.
Para sermos perdoados, temos de perdoar os outros.
Para perdoar, temos de encarar o que aconteceu e aceitar que nos magoou. Temos de fazer a escolha de perdoar e não apenas esperar para o sentir.
Toma decisões conscientes para libertar sentimentos de ressentimento em relação a alguém que lhe fez mal.
Como alguém que deixa as coisas correr e doesn’t hold grudges, she’s the first to offer forgiveness and look for reconciliation.
5. Paciência
Because she’s a follower of a palavra de Deus, she’s influenced by God’s own patience with humankind which inspires her to show mercy and restraint.
With her sense of understanding, she knows that people have their reasons for their actions, and she doesn’t judge. Mostra-se indulgente para com aqueles que a põem à prova.

6. Humildade
A woman with integrity isn’t self-righteous.
Her virtuous life is something that comes from a feeling that she must do right. It’s inner peace and not recognition that she’s looking for.
God’s opinion is above everyone else’s for her. She strives to deixar o seu ego de lado. Her self-confidence doesn’t make her prideful.
By acknowledging that she isn’t always right, she apologizes when she’s wrong and listens to what people say. She gives credit where credit is due and doesn’t take other people’s glory.

7. Bondade
Integrity supports doing good. Welcoming it into your life means that you’re always helping other people.
She follows Jesus’ example and loves everyone. O seu amor transparece nas suas boas acções.

8. Respeito
Uma mulher que vive a sua vida fazendo sempre o que está certo valoriza as outras pessoas e mostra-lhes respeito.
Aceita as pessoas como elas são e trata-as com carinho. She respects other people’s feelings, boundaries, and choices.
Sempre educada e atenta, esta mulher é uma boa ouvinte. She’s considerate and shows appreciation.
Ela tem boas maneirase a sua forma de se exprimir é através da positividade.
9. Honestidade
She tells the truth at all costs. She has the courage to say “no.”
Por vezes, contamos pequenas mentiras brancas para manter a paz ou para fazer com que as pessoas se sintam melhor consigo próprias.
But when people become aware of this, it breaks their trust and makes them wonder what else we’ve been lying about.
O que uma mulher com integridade faz é ajudá-los. A falsa sensação de conforto é temporária, mas o apoio e a aceitação permanecem.
10. Fiabilidade
Os seus valores morais inquestionáveis tornam-na irrepreensível. As pessoas que a conhecem sabem que podem contar com ela e confiar-lhe tudo.
Esta mulher é honrada, fiável e mantém a sua palavra. Quando promete algo, cumpre o que diz.
She’s the kind of person people can put their children, their valuables, and their secrets into her hands and have faith that she’ll take care of them.
11. Compaixão
Ela tem fé nas pessoas. Ela tenta ver o lado bom de toda a gente e dá a todos o benefício da dúvida. She always has people’s feelings in mind.
Even when someone acts in a way that’s less than good, she understands that we don’t know what problems they may have in their personal lives that make them do it.
Compreender e empatia são importantes para ela, mas ela também toma medidas. Quando outras pessoas estão a sofrer, ela faz tudo o que pode para ajudar.
12. Autenticidade
She’s always genuinely herself. Her moral compass guides her, and she has conviction in her beliefs. She’s true to herself even under pressure and expectations not to be.
Uma mulher íntegra é honesta nas suas opiniões e comunica-as de forma sincera. This doesn’t mean that she’s cruel or unkind – she accepts people and shows goodwill but doesn’t hide herself.
Ter integridade significa que fazer o que está certo é absoluto e ter autenticidade significa que as suas decisões e escolhas estão de acordo com os seus valores.
