I Want To Be With You, But Not At All Costs

I want to hold your hand, laugh at your jokes, walk by your side, snuggle on the couch, look into your eyes and kiss you each and every day.

I want to sit on the kitchen counter at 3 am in my underwear and be silly with you.

I want to be someone of high importance to you and I want to give you my days, weeks, months and years.

I just want to be with you. I want to bring a smile to your face and make you happy. I want to be in your arms and cuddle.

I want to stay up all night and talk for hours. I want to hear what’s on your mind and what’s in your heart. I want to be the one you want to share your life with.

I want all these things for us. I want you to be mine and I want to be yours, but it won’t be at all costs.

I won’t bend over backwards for something that isn’t worth it. I don’t want to lose myself to someone who doesn’t deserve it.

I don’t want you if I have to chase after you.

If I have to chase after you, it means you’re running away from me. And if you’re running away from me, then there isn’t anything I should be wanting from you because it means we’re definitely not on the same page.

I don’t want to chase after you. I want to have you next to me and I want us to run together in this wild and crazy world. I want to know I can lean on you and not be afraid you might walk away anytime.

I don’t want you if I have to ask for your time.

I really want to be with you, but it’s not gonna happen if I have to ask you to give me your time. If I’m ready to give you a spot in my life, I expect nothing less from you, too.

I don’t want to sit at the table waiting for you to find the time to text me back. I don’t want to want to wait for you to see if you’re going to be able to find time to see me.

I want to be on your priority list because I’m ready to put you on mine. If I’m gonna fight for your attention, then you and me aren’t worth it.

I don’t want you if I have to prove to you that I’m worth it.

If I you aren’t able to see for yourself I’m worth it, then there isn’t a thing in this world I can do to prove you wrong. There isn’t a thing I can do to convince you of the opposite.

And truth to be told, I don’t want to have to prove to you that I’m worth it.

I want you to accept me for who I am. I want you to respect my values and I want to feel validated by you.

Because this is exactly what I’m more than willing to do for you.

I don’t want you if anyone else can have you.

I’ve always been the type of girl who dislikes something that anyone else can get. What’s the value in you if you’re so easy? What’s so special about you when any other girl can have you?

And who’s gonna promise me you won’t just leave me for some other girl if you don’t have your standards set right?

I want to be able to trust you. I want to know you would never replace me with some random girl as long as I’m good to you.

I want to know I matter to you and that I add value to your life. I don’t want to be with you if I could be so easily replaced.

I’m not gonna go for it unless you show me you want me to.

I’ve been through a lot in my life. Trust me, the last thing I want to do is to chase after someone who doesn’t want me to be in his life.

So, I’m not gonna do that. I’m not gonna make you my #1 if you don’t show me you want to be there.

I know relationships between two human beings are messy but they should never be hard.

I know they require effort and I’m willing to work for us in case you give me something to work for.

Don’t make me kill to be your girl because I know when it’s time to stop giving yourself to someone.

If you want me in your life, move and make me a spot. It can be as simple as that.
