Estaba en mi habitación esperando su llamada cuando aprendí la lección más valiosa de mi vida.
Estaba flipando, esperando desesperadamente durante horas a que me llamara y aún nada.
Mi mente estaba ocupada con diferentes pensamientos como: ¿Y si le pasara algo? ¿Y si he’s with another girl (¿quizás su ex)?
What if he doesn’t even like me anymore because this is not the first time I’m waiting for him to move his ass and send me some proof of his existence?
“What if” – two words with such a large amount of uncertainty and expectation, that it can kill even the toughest ones.
My family and friends didn’t even recognize me anymore. From a mujer feliz y fuerte...me convertí en una criatura frustrada y miserable.
Empecé a odiarme aún más.
Exijo a Dios que me envíe respuestas a estas famosas preguntas: ¿Por qué yo? ¿Por qué siempre tengo que ser yo la que acaba siendo desgraciada con el tipo equivocado?
Y entonces experimenté un momento de verdadera epifanía. Me di cuenta de que todo este tiempo estaba acabando desesperada porque perseguía a los tipos equivocados.
I was CHASING them, even though I knew they didn’t deserve it.
Perseguía ciegamente que me hicieran daño y me dieran por sentado porque me preocupaba más su bienestar y felicidad que los míos propios.
I’ve neglected myself because all this time, I was busy chasing something that would never be mine.
Alguien que nunca me haría feliz.
Mientras estaba ocupado haciendo todo esto, ignoraba la única verdad que debería estar escrita en las paredes de todos los rincones del mundo:
Cuando deja de perseguir a los tipos equivocados...¡el adecuado te encontrará! Sí.
Cuando deja de perder el tiempo esperando a que empiecen a tratarte como te mereces, you will open the doors to the right one to whom you’ll be number one priority.
Esta es la única verdad hermosa que debería guardarse siempre en un compartimento especial de nuestro cerebro.
Chasing someone who doesn’t give a damn about you will only result in you getting more and more hurt.
It’s the only logical conclusion of which I’ve been ignorant for years.
Why in the world would we ever think that if stay determined in chasing someone, that they’d somehow suddenly change their mind and finally notice us, our efforts, our tears?
¿Por qué elegiríamos vivir en esta ilusión cuando en el fondo de nuestra alma sabemos que nada cambiará jamás?
Because of fear. We fear that we’ll never find someone better and we think that this is how things are supposed to be.
We think that we deserve to be treated poorly because no one has convinced us to believe otherwise. We believe that we’re not digno de amor.
We blindly chase those who are wrong for us because we’re convinced that we’ll never find someone who will treat us the way we deserve.
Pero, la verdad es que, cuando dejemos de hacerlo, ¡nos encontrará el adecuado!
Cuando dejes de perder el tiempo esperando a que te llamen, la persona adecuada llamará a tu puerta.
When we’re only focused on chasing things that are bad for us, we’re multiplying our chances to receive more shit in our lives.
Every time we wait for their call, we’re deliberately hurting ourselves by wasting our time on someone who doesn’t appreciate ours.
Pero, cuando finalmente dejamos de hacerlo, nos liberamos de toda toxicidad y energía negativa.
We start seeing things differently. We start noticing those who were in the shadows the entire time – the right ones.
Y lo único que tienes que hacer para darles la bienvenida a tu vida es dejar de perseguir a los equivocados.
The only thing you need to do is to stop paying attention to those who wrong you, stop anticipating their calls, stop waiting for them to notice you, stop hanging on in the hopes that they’ll change!
Because the more you chase them, the more you’re going to hurt yourself! The more you chase them, the longer you’ll stay away from true happiness!
The more you chase the wrong ones, the more power you’re giving them.
Cuanto más los persigas, más se darte por sentado. ¿Y por qué lo aguantarías?
¿Por qué dejas que alguien interfiera en tu felicidad y te ponga en ridículo?
Why would you let someone keep you living in fear and the hope that they’ll eventually change?
¡Te mereces que te traten como a una dama!
Te mereces sonreír hasta que te duela la cara en lugar de estar constantemente secándote las lágrimas.
Te mereces que te cuiden, no sentirte desatendida.
You deserve to be someone’s dream instead of just an option! Te mereces experimentar la verdadera felicidad.
Así que deja de perder el tiempo persiguiendo a los tipos equivocados, para que el correcto ¡puede encontrarte!
Cuando decidas ser el dueño de tu propia felicidad, darás la bienvenida a muchas posibilidades en tu vida.
When you decide to stop chasing those who do you wrong, you’ll make space for the right ones to find you.
When you stop accepting bad things, you’ll start receiving the great ones. When you deja de perseguir a los tipos equivocados, you’ll meet el correcto!
