L'amore è un'eterna ispirazione artistica, ma quando qualcuno sceglie di ritrarre momenti quotidiani e umoristici del proprio amore, il risultato è esilarante.

Omaggio creativo e spiritoso a una relazione

Si chiama Catana Chetwynd e ha realizzato un tributo molto creativo alla sua attuale relazione.

She lives in New York and she’s an illustrator with “a soft spot for comics, romance, and wholesome stories”. The series “Catana Comics” has been popular since 2016. 

It all started with her boyfriend’s idea that she should draw some comics about relationships. Catana amava i fumetti fin da bambina and enjoyed “Get Fuzzy” and “Calvin and Hobbes”. 

Ormai Catana Comics ha circa quattro milioni di follower su diverse piattaforme.

L'idea le è piaciuta e ha iniziato a rappresentare in modo giocoso momenti divertenti di coppia. O, per essere più precisi, il suo rapporto con John. Per questo la sua arte è stravagante e vi infonderà calore, allegria e nostalgia. 

Honestly, you’ll be deeply touched and amused by these comics. Anyone who ever tried to get used to living with and around someone in a long-term relationship will find all this very familiar.

Il suo obiettivo era quello di approfondire momenti strani e insoliti nelle diverse fasi di una relazione, e ha iniziato quando la sua relazione era ancora nuovo and they didn’t even live together at the time. Over the years the relationship evolved, and so did her art.

Mentre i due stavano crescendo come coppia, Catana ottenne più carburante creativo per le sue opere d'arte. John didn’t mind becoming a comic character even though occasionally he felt awkward when he needed to explain drawings to his friends and family.
