La ragazza che vale la pena avere non aspetterà nessuno

Ho sempre pensato che aspettare qualcuno fosse la prova definitiva dell'amore. Ma quando il tuo amore consiste solo nell'attesa, sai che non sei sulla strada giusta.

Sembra che non si faccia altro che aspettare. Aspetti che cambi idea. Aspetti che si comporti da uomo. Aspetti che rinsavisca. Aspetti che si renda conto di quanto lo ami.

Aspetti che si renda conto che anche lui ti ama, che ha paura. Aspetti che sia il momento giusto. Aspetti un miracolo. Aspetti e ti stanchi di aspettare.  

L'unica cosa che si ottiene aspettando pazientemente è la perdita di tempo. Possono passare mesi o addirittura anni prima di rendersi conto che si sta aspettando qualcuno che non arriverà mai.

Somebody who really doesn’t want to catch up.

Ci sono persone che ti fanno aspettare e altre che scegli di aspettare.

Quelli che ti fanno aspettare di solito sono solo dei manipolatori egocentrici che stanno esplorando le loro opzioni tenendoti vicino.

Ti danno quel tanto che basta per resistere, un messaggio o una telefonata occasionale, ma mai troppo da far sentire che ci sono davvero.

Così ci si abitua e ci si accontenta delle briciole di attenzione che ci servono.

Then, there are those you choose to wait for. They hurt the most because by waiting for them, you are deliberately hurting yourself. It’s completely your choice to be patient and hopeful.

Se se n'è andato, state aspettando che torni. Sperate che abbia un ripensamento e che si renda conto che era destinato a stare con voi da sempre.

Or maybe he was never with you but you are hoping that someday he might notice you. You are putting those people on a pedestal for no reason, and they don’t even know they are there.

Forse non siete nemmeno sicuri di cosa state aspettando. Avete paura che non accada mai, ma non siete disposti a lasciar andare questa sensazione.

The only truth here is that if he was truly worthy, he wouldn’t keep you waiting. He wouldn’t let you wonder about his feelings—he would show them openly.

You wouldn’t have to ask for his attention—he would give it freely.

Aspettare qualcuno significa non dare una possibilità a qualcun altro. Per qualcuno che ti dia subito tutto quello che vuoi.

In the end, it’s all about you. You have to love and respect yourself enough and not wait for anything or anybody.

Devi essere tu quello che preferisce stare da solo piuttosto che trascorrere il suo tempo in attesa di qualcuno che potrebbe non arrivare mai.

You are the only one who can control your life. Everything is about your choices. You chose to wait. You chose to delude yourself that something is there when it really isn’t.

In fondo, sapete che non vale la pena aspettare e che è molto improbabile che le cose cambino.

Potete anche scegliere di lasciare andare tutto in qualsiasi momento. Quindi, scegliete di non aspettare. Andate avanti.

Love doesn’t keep you waiting. If it’s real, you will both be on the same page at exactly the same time.

 Love rushes in like a tornado and sweeps you off your feet— it doesn’t ask you to stand still and wait.
