A volte, tornare con il proprio ex è la scelta giusta da fare

Ho sempre pensato che quando una relazione finisce, è finita. Il cuore non potrà mai essere riparato e le parole non potranno più essere dette. È quello che è: la fine dell'amore.

E fa male. Fa male da morire quando si ha qualcosa con qualcuno che passa così raramente che you just don’t want to let go. Tra voi due è scattata una sorta di chimica e siete entrati in sintonia.

The more time you spent together, the better time you had. Nobody could understand you like he did. Nobody’s message would lift you on cloud nine like his. Nobody could hug you like that and make all of your troubles leave. Nobody made such a huge impact on your life in such a short time. 

E per qualche ragione sconosciuta, ha deciso di andarsene. Ha deciso di andarsene e non c'è stato nulla da fare.

You didn’t want to let go but You had no other choice. Love is made for two. Two to love. Two to make efforts. Two willing to fight. Two willing to stay. You wanted him so badly but you couldn’t be the only one to hold on.

Ci è voluto tanto tempo per rimettersi in piedi e raccogliere i pezzi rotti della propria anima. Ci è voluto tanto tempo per lasciar andare tutti i "e se". È stato difficile andare avanti con la tua vita senza una chiusura.

Ma in qualche modo, con il tempo, ce l'hai fatta. 

Vi siete concentrati su voi stessi. Hai iniziato a costruire la tua vita da zero. Ti sei rafforzato dal dolore che il cuore spezzato porta con sé. E in qualche modo i sentimenti hanno cominciato lentamente a svanire, o almeno così pensavate.

And then your phone lit up with his name, begging you to talk to him. Your body trembled from the shock.  You didn’t know what to do.

You couldn’t even think straight because all the love and all the pain filled you from the inside again. And it took you by surprise because you had no idea they were still there.

 

You decided to ignore him. You didn’t want him to disturb your peace with his poor words and insecurities. You didn’t want the same fire that burned your heart to burn it again. You were running as far away from him as you could.

But he knew that the only way to get you back was to be persistent. So he didn’t give up until you answered. He wanted to see you he wanted to explain why he did what he did, he just wanted a chance to talk to you. 

E alla fine hai ceduto. Gli hai dato retta.

And you knew his words were honest. He knew you were the one from the first moment he saw you, he just wasn’t ready and that scared him to death.

Era dispiaciuto di averti ferito, potevi vedere il rimpianto nei suoi occhi, potevi vedere la disperazione perché ti aveva perso. Tutto ciò che voleva era un'altra possibilità per rimediare a tutti gli errori e per dimostrarvi che ora è un uomo diverso. 

Voleva dimostrarle che era maturato. Voleva recuperare tutto il tempo perduto. Ma tutto dipendeva da lei. 

E a prescindere da ciò che gli hai detto, nel profondo sapevi che gli avresti dato una possibilità dal momento in cui l'avessi rivisto, anche se hai cercato di mettere da parte quel sentimento.

You couldn’t believe what was happening, it was like you were subconsciously waiting for him to come back into your life.

Alla fine lo avete perdonato. Ha messo in pratica le sue parole. Ha dimostrato di essere degno di una seconda possibilità. Ha lavorato a lungo e duramente per riconquistare la vostra fiducia. 

And you just knew you were willing to take all the risks because with him you had something that couldn’t be explained with words. You felt that by his side is where you need to be. You felt like home.

You decided to follow your heart wherever it might lead you… and it turned out that it was the right choice to make. 

Perché capita a volte, ma non molto spesso, che l'amore se ne vada proprio perché è sempre stato destinato a tornare.
