We all have a hero in our lives.
Her name is Mom.
From the moment we are born and still unaware of the world around us, we simply feel that our moms are our protectors.
She always has our back, no matter what.
Her love remains the same, no matter what we do or forget to do.
She’s there through our highs and our lows.
She’s there to put a smile on our face and wipe away our tears.
Moms are everything that’s good in this world and that’s why we should remind them of that.
I want to give thanks to my mom and through my words, may you think of yours.
So take a moment and remind your mother how incredible she is.
Thank you for being always there when I call
I love hearing your voice.
No matter what the topic of our conversation is, there’s something about your voice that calms and soothes me.
I love that we can talk for hours and hours.
I am so grateful that I have a mother and a best friend in one person.
Thank you for watching over me
You have a habit of worrying too much and being overprotective.
At times it bugs me, but you always say I’ll understand when I have kids of my own, and I know you’re right.
All in all, it’s nice to have someone in your life who cares for you so deeply and doesn’t want anything bad to happen to you.
Thank you for being the best friend in the whole wide world
I learned through life that you are the only friend who always has my best interest at heart.
Sorry it took me so long.
I know you won’t give my secrets away.
I know your advice is honest and best, even when I don’t want to hear it.
I know that there’s no jealousy or envy in your words, but that my happiness is all that matters to you.
I can come to you with anything and your doors are always open for me
You’re my safe haven, my psychologist, a shoulder to cry on, a person I can laugh the hardest with.
No matter if there are storms or sunshine coming down on me, you’re there.
Home is wherever you are.
Thank you for giving birth to me and raising me
You are the reason I came into this world.
You carried me for nine months and never ever complained about all the pain of giving birth.
You said you forgot how hard it was as soon as you saw my tiny rumpled face.
You knew then what I learned later – that I am and always will be a part of you.
Thank you for showing me the way
As a kid, I didn’t always understood your parenting methods.
I hated being grounded and having to endure long talks with you about the things I did wrong.
Now I know it was all for my own good.
It taught me to tell right from wrong.
It taught me to think with my own head instead of following others.
You made me me.
Thank you for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself
You always encouraged me to chase my dreams.
Where I saw obstacles, you saw opportunities and solutions.
You showed me the importance of having my own opinions and outlook in life.
You stood by me through my every decision.
Always supporting and always cheering me along the way.
Thank you for all the sacrifices you’ve made
You always did your best to give me everything.
You worked hard and you fought for us by any means necessary.
You took from yourself to give to me – to invest in me, my schooling, my life.
And there are no words to describe how grateful I am for having you as a mom.
Thank you for loving me at my worst
I know that life with me through all my phases of growing up was all but easy.
Thank you for bearing with me.
Thank you for forgiving me as easily as you used to get mad at me.
Thank you for the discipline.
You’re the best.
Thank you for the warmth
Your hugs and kisses. Home-cooked meals.
Your proud eyes when you look at me.
Your calls to check up on me.
Endless support and care.
They’re all wrapped up into one – you – and embraced me with motherly warmth.
Thank you for unconditional love
You loved me at my best and my worst.
You’ve been there when I thrive in life and when I fall apart like a deck of cards.
No matter which stage in life I’ve been in or how I’ve treated you, you’ve been there no questions asked and love me with the same intensity.
Thank you for showing me what it means to unconditionally love a person.
Thank you for loving me that way.
Thank you for being the kind of parent I hope to be for my own kids one day
Mom, you’re an inspiration.
A role model parent I hope to be one day.
You poured your mind, your soul, and all your efforts into raising me.
You made our house into a home and forged family bonds so strong they could never break.
I am so grateful God chose you to be my mother.
I know that this list doesn’t nearly cut it.
You are so much more than just a mom, you are everything.
You deserve the world.
But I think it’s important to remind you how much you mean to me.
I want you to know that even if I don’t say it as often as I should, I see everything and that I am grateful for having a strong woman like you for my mother.
I love you, Mom.
