As horrible, toxic, and manipulative as they are, psychopaths can actually teach you some really valuable life lessons, when you choose to dig a bit deeper.
Don’t get me wrong. Dating a psychopath or merely having one in close proximity is a nightmare.
It leaves you scarred, vulnerable, exposed, and hurt. It makes you feel crappy about yourself and their manipulative and evil personality leaves you trembling in fear.
If you’ve ever been in a situation where you dealt with this, I’m truly sorry. But I also have some kind of good news for you.
You know all those evil traits they have and often use against you? Well, you can actually use them to your advantage.
Clearly, not in the destructive way that they choose, but in a way that will help you make life just a tad easier and get things done just a bit more efficiently!
You can spin it so that the experience you had with your psychopath is actually a blessing in disguise.
Not only does it help you identify one so that you can steer clear of them in the future, but it also serves as an awesome life hack for you as well.
And here is what I’m talking about!
6 totally unexpected lessons a psychopath can end up teaching you.
The importance of being impulsive and going after what you want
If there’s one thing a psychopath can teach you it is to simply let yourself be impulsive and grab life by the balls!
If you want something, go after it. If you feel it may be out of reach, run and don’t give up until you’ve got your way.
You can totally make your life so much better if you choose to turn this quality around in a way that benefits you greatly.
Psychopaths clearly use this to get what they want without considering how it makes others feel, but unlike them, you will do it considerately and with no ulterior motive.
Don’t let shit affect you easily and never dwell on things you cannot change
It’s plain and simple. Psychopaths do not care about the opinions of others.
They don’t dwell on unimportant shit and they don’t care what you think of it. Period. And that is exactly what you should be doing!
When something crappy happens and you can’t change it, stop giving a fuck.
If somebody offers their unsolicited opinion on something that is none of their business, tell them to go to hell.
Simply put – stop paying attention to others and focus on what YOU think and what YOU feel is right.
This is a valuable lesson you can take away from them, as long as you make sure not to hurt anyone in the process. There’s a fine line you don’t want to cross.
Stop feeling guilty over every minor thing and learn to say “Fuck it!”
When you look at it from a psychopath’s point of view, this can sound a bit extremist, but obviously you’ll take it down a notch.
When something happens that was totally out of your control but you end up being blamed anyway, just let them think whatever they like and walk away.
Sometimes, the smartest thing you can do is just say “Screw this!” and go do your thing.
People will say what they want to say and make you feel guilty if that’s what they want.
But YOU can choose to not give a shit, knowing that you’re conscious is clear. Not everyone is worth your attention. So stop giving it to them!
Sometimes you just have to resort to your charm to get things done
Ain’t nothing wrong with that! I mean, it’s not like you’re looking to murder anyone or make their life a living hell.
I’m talking about less dreadful things here. Like getting a guy to do something he might not be fond of, or getting that promotion you know you deserve.
There is not a damn thing wrong with knowing how to switch your charm on and use your bubbly personality to have it your way.
That’s just how life works sometimes and you have to roll with it. Your charm is there for a reason; it would be a shame not to use it.
Know your worth and be confident in your abilities
Be a boss-ass bitch and own it! Get your confidence on and don’t let some basic bitch put you down.
You know your worth and there’s nobody and nothing that can ruin this for you.
And if a girl tries, serve her a fabulous one-liner that will keep her out of your hair for good.
There will always be people rooting against you and hoping you’ll fail.
But the trick is to not give a shit and focus on making it to the top on your own merit, all with a glistening smile on your face.
Never let people see you cry. You’re a tough chick and no one can tell you otherwise.
Never let yourself be bored and always keep on hustling
This comes naturally to psychopaths, but you can learn it too. (Obviously, with less vicious intent.)
In life, it’s so easy to get bored and just settle for mediocre shit out of fear of going after the big things.
But that’s exactly what you should be doing. There is always a way to get things done, you just have to explore your options.
I’m not saying to break rules or something like that. What I mean is that sometimes you just have to look outside the box.
You’ll be surprised at how many alternative ways there are to achieve what you want, be that in work, personal life, or your romantic pursuits.
Where there’s a will, there’s most certainly a way.
Keep moving forward, and good things will come! Never stop at the first sign of trouble.
That is simply the first step toward something awesome – just keep on hustling!
