Water signs, fire signs, earth signs, and air signs. Every zodiac sign is under the influence of one of these four elements. Each element controls three signs, and today, we’ll talk about air and water signs and their personality traits.
Just as other elements in your birth chart, these elements can provide us with an explanation and understanding of why some zodiac signs behave the way they do.
Air signs are all about intellectual and mental energy. Thinking, analyzing (and overthinking) is their way of life. Being born under the water element is somewhat similar and means that deep emotions and intense feelings are overflowing you constantly.

1. Air Sign: Aquarius (January 20–February 18)
Aquarians, ruled by Saturn (the planet of order and discipline), are visionaries and revolutionaries. They see possibilities everywhere around them. They connect the dots, find a way to make things work and welcome diversity in all shapes and sizes.
They don’t blindly follow others but are trendsetters. They are the ones waiting for others to catch up. For example, if a group of people is doing the same thing, Aquarians won’t be a part of it because they are born leaders and aren’t gullible. They are careful about their activities and with whom they spend their time.
Thinking outside the box and being original in everything they do are the main Aquarius traits. That is why an Aquarius man in bed wants his woman to be open to trying new things. Routine is out of the question.

2. Water Sign: Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Pisces is the last sign on the zodiac wheel. Some astrologers say that this is the reason why they’re so deep and emotional. They easily become overflowed with emotions and are emotionally unstable in general.
Lack of self-esteem is just another one of their curses. Pisces feel unworthy, and they’re prone to seeking approval and validation from others. Long story short, they’re unable to identify their own abilities and they need other people to point them out.
Pisces is governed by Neptune, and that makes it the most creative and artistic sign on the zodiac wheel. And, since they’re a mutable sign, being impressionable is one of their main characteristics.
That’s also a reason why they have such an emotional and empathetic nature. They feel other people’s emotions deeply, which affects them and creates frequent shifts in their personality.
3. Air Sign: Gemini (May 21–June 20)
Gemini is ruled by Mercury (the planet of communication). Astrologers describe this zodiac sign as great communicators, problem solvers, and curious people, which are indeed the three main Gemini traits.
They are constantly absorbing and analyzing information, and they are the least judgmental of all zodiac signs. Because of that, Geminis can easily get along with anyone. Also, they have the most changeable nature of all zodiacs, which can be a good or bad thing.
They don’t settle for routines and boring schedules, but they are constantly on the lookout for mental stimulation and to spice things up. If a Gemini feels bored in your company, they will not hesitate to go somewhere else where they’ll have more fun.
And let’s not forget, if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Geminis, it’s this: If a Gemini man likes you, he will not play games. He will show the entire world how crazy he is about you.
4. Water Sign: Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
This water sign is also known as one of the most emotional star signs. That’s probably because they’re so highly intuitive.
People born under this zodiac sign can pick on other people’s emotions, and they possess strong empath abilities. Cancerians are also in touch with their own feelings, and they struggle with letting go of the negative ones
That’s probably a reason why they’re known as one of the biggest grudge-holders in the entire zodiac. They’ll forgive those who do them wrong, but they’ll never forget their wrongdoings.
Cancer is truly a marriage-material zodiac sign. They’re nurturing, devoted, loyal, and caring. They are not afraid of commitment, and their partner can be sure that they’ll never cheat or betray them in any way.
They care for their loved ones and are always emotionally present for their friends, family, and romantic partners. If you have at least one Cancerian in your life, you should truly consider yourself lucky.
5. Air Sign: Libra (September 23–October 22)
Libra is a cardinal sign ruled by Venus. This energy can manifest as a shallow obsession with appearances, which is visible in their appreciation of anything beautiful.
Being diplomatic, magnetic, and optimistic are the main Libra traits. They don’t have a problem going out of their way to put themselves in someone else’s shoes and analyzing things from different perspectives. They value fairness and harmony above anything else.
They don’t like confrontation, which can be a bad thing because they would rather be silent and suffer than deal with the problem.

6. Water Sign: Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Scorpio is the eighth zodiac sign and one of the most powerful ones. Their strong will, ambition, and determination make this sign the zodiac’s powerhouse.
I said above that Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, but this star sign actually has dual rulership. Mars is Scorpio‘s co-ruler. It’s no wonder why this zodiac sign is so complex and hard to understand.
People with the Scorpio sun sign are brutally honest. They will always tell the truth, even when they’re aware that the truth may hurt another person’s feelings.
Scorpios are extremely focused and strong-willed people. Once they put their mind to something, there is nothing that can stop them from achieving it.
One of the greatest Scorpio traits is being loyal. They never but never hurt or let down those they love, and once they commit to someone, their commitment is forever. They’re also the most amazing and caring friends.
