At the moment, you feel completely lost. You don’t know where you’re headed and what you should do next.
Your heart is shattered in million pieces and you feel completely broken from the inside. You don’t see the way out or any light at the end of this dark tunnel you’re trapped in.
This man killed you spiritually and destroyed all of your hopes and dreams. You’re convinced that you’ll never go back to your old self and that he managed to crush you beyond repair.
The worst part is that you assume that you’re the only one feeling this way. After all, everyone around you has been through similar things but they seem to have come out of it just fine.
People break up all the time and relationships tear apart every day. They lose their loved ones but each one of them has survived their loss.
It seems that everyone besides you has it all figured out. You’re the only one who can’t get a grip on herself.
Actually, the biggest problem is that you’re perfectly aware that you need to move from this dead spot.
You know that you can’t keep on living like this forever and that you must make some changes as soon as possible.
However, as much as you try, you can’t figure out how to get over all that’s happened. You know you need to heal, but you just don’t know how.
Yes, everyone keeps on giving you the same piece of advice all over again. You have to start thinking positively, you must cut this guy off for good, you need to do your best to stop thinking about him…
The list goes on. The point is that you’ve done all this – in vain.
You play by the rules, but you still haven’t managed to forget about your ex. You kicked him out of your life, but you can’t seem to throw him out from your heart and head.
Basically, you feel like a failure. You’ve been really giving your best and trying your hardest, but you still miss and love this guy, despite all the pain he’s caused you.
You can’t help but wonder if this situation will go on forever. Will you ever get over him completely? Will you ever be able to fall in love again?
The fact that your closest ones are secretly judging you – it’s like everyone is giving you a deadline, an amount of time up until you should be fine.
Well, let me tell you one thing. We all heal at a different pace and just because you need a bit longer to recover, it doesn’t mean it will never happen.
No, you’re not broken beyond repair. No matter how things might look now, I promise you one thing: You will be better.
I’m not saying that it will happen tomorrow or even this year, but it will happen. Mark my words.
Nevertheless, I have to tell you another secret nobody wants you to know: There’s no such thing as a magic formula for healing.
Nobody can tell you exactly what to do in order to feel better. What helps one person, simply doesn’t work for someone else.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that you should continue drowning in your despair for as long as you breathe.
I’m not here to advise you to let your pain define you and for you to lose all hope of ever letting go.
I’m just begging you not to push yourself too hard. Don’t go over your limits, but just listen to your inner rhythm.
Remember: Healing is a process and it doesn’t happen at the switch of the button. Yes, we would all love it if things worked out that way, but sadly, it is way harder and takes much more effort.
Besides, just because you still haven’t reached your final goal, it doesn’t mean that you haven’t moved an inch.
After all, you’ve reached incredible progress just by being aware of the fact that you have to heal.
You know very well that you’re not okay and that realization alone puts you one step closer to your full recovery.
