Sometimes we get carried away and we can’t see what’s really going on. Maybe we actually do see it, but we don’t want to admit it because things would change and our heart would be broken.
Maybe somewhere deep inside you know that you are nothing more than a booty call for him, but you refuse to admit it because you have feelings for him. You are hoping that you will grow on him and that he will change.
He probably never talked openly to you and is keeping you in a grey zone where everything is possible. So, to some extension, it’s not your fault that you’ve been kept in the dark. It’s logical that you will draw your own conclusions and hope for the best.
But, let’s face it, this way you are only prolonging the inevitable. By choosing to be blind in order not to get hurt, you are only making it worse when the truth comes to light—and it will. You will only get attached to him even more and therefore, you’re going to hurt much harder.
Take a look at the signs that he is only thinking of you as your booty call and save yourself the heartbreak and tears:
Your every date ends with sex
You literally never had a normal date where he walks you home and kisses you gently, saying good night.
I know that there are some passionate feelings involved and that it’s hard to resist him, but if every time you go out he gets sex, he will only expect sex in the future—not to mention that he will call you only when his sex drive hits the roof.
He avoids public meetings
Basically, he ignores you in public, especially during the day. He only wants to see you during the night because there is something he wants from you and that is sex.
So, if you see him during the day somewhere in the mall, walking the dog in the park or whatever, he will pretend he doesn’t see you and practically run away.
He strings you along
This is that grey area I’ve written about. This is the position that suits him best. He probably doesn’t know exactly what he wants or you are his backup girlfriend, so he keeps you around giving you hope that someday it may turn into something more.
I hate to break it to you, but it will change only if he wants it to. Do you want to be a girlfriend of the guy who wasn’t sure about you right at the beginning? I think not.
He hides his phone
This is too suspicious. Most people nowadays keep their phones in front of them because let’s face it, we can’t live without our phones anymore. If he is being weird and secretive about his phone, he is probably hiding something.
Maybe he already has a girlfriend and although his phone is probably on mute while he is with you, he is afraid that her name might pop up on the screen and then he is busted—which most definitely doesn’t work to his advantage.
He never talks about the future
Whenever he plans something, he never mentions you. He never uses “we”, he always uses “I” which is definitely not a good sign.
This means that he isn’t planning to be with you for a longer time. You are probably only his plan B until something better comes along.
He isn’t around when you need him
He has the perfect ability to disappear when you need him to be there for you. When you are going through a rough period in life, when you have problems and you need someone just to be there for you and to listen to you, he won’t be there.
He doesn’t feel he needs to comfort you because he doesn’t care for you. This is an undeniable sign that you are just a booty call for him.
He avoids introducing you to his friends or family
He will mostly try to hide you from everyone he knows. He is well aware of the fact that for him, what you have is not serious, so he doesn’t want anyone to know about you.
He even takes you to places where he is sure nobody he knows will see you. The bottom line is that if he never introduces you to anyone, he doesn’t take you seriously.
He makes last minute plans with you
This is definitely a firm sign that you are a side-chick. If he really wants to spend time with you because of you and not something he wants from you, he would have planned it ahead at least a day or two.
But, if he calls you and expects you to be free right that second or in an hour, he only wants you for one thing. His plans have probably fallen through, so he turned to his plan B—you.
He texts you at night
He sends you texts at inappropriate times, sometimes in the middle of the night. He is not texting to see how you are or because he misses you.
He is texting you because he wants to hook up with you and texting: “What’s up?” is a lame attempt to see if you are awake and up for it.
He leaves right after sex
He comes late and he leaves as soon as he is done. What more do you need?
