10 sfide che le donne devono affrontare e che gli uomini non riusciranno mai a comprendere o ad affrontare

Per capire le difficoltà che le donne affrontano ogni giorno bisogna essere donne. Per quanto ci sforziamo di spiegare alcune sfide che affrontiamo, gli uomini non le capiranno mai perché vivono in un mondo completamente diverso.

A world that is tailored to them and their needs. Although women have more rights than before, we’re still not treated equally or with the level of respect we deserve. 

Purtroppo, siamo ancora lontane dall'essere riconosciute alla pari delle nostre controparti maschili. E questo non è nemmeno l'unico problema che affrontiamo quotidianamente. 

Tuttavia, il fatto che gli uomini vogliano saperne di più sulle nostre lotte e siano pronti ad ascoltarci e a prenderci sul serio può essere un grande passo avanti verso la creazione di una società migliore e più comprensiva.

1. Ciclo mestruale complesso e dolore mestruale

Se gli uomini conoscessero meglio la nostra biologia, ci capirebbero sicuramente meglio. Le donne affrontano tanti problemi diversi legati alle mestruazioni ma ci viene sempre detto che reagiamo in modo eccessivo.

I would love to see men having periods and how they would endure excruciating pain while still having to go to work and do everything they usually do. We surely can’t change anything about women having periods, but we can definitely strive to make this experience easier for them.

2. Disparità di opportunità e diritti

Dobbiamo fare molto di più per ottenere anche solo la metà dei riconoscimenti e delle lodi che gli uomini ottengono per le stesse cose o anche meno. 

It’s so frustrating to deal with the disparity in the workplace and try to prove your worth over and over again. It’s no wonder men always want to have kids while women are less sure about it. If I didn’t have to give up my whole life for a child, I would love to have one too! 

3. Carico mentale quotidiano e preoccupazione costante

This is universal for all women. I always found it funny and interesting how men are able to turn their minds completely off and simply don’t think about anything.

Sarebbe così bello e rilassante vivere così almeno per un giorno! Women are the ones who must think about everyone’s needs all the time mentre nessuno si preoccupa dei propri. E la cosa peggiore è che nessuno riconosce il lavoro che facciamo!

4. Fare tutto il lavoro ma non essere apprezzati

I remember I watched one interview someone did with kids and asked them who does what in their household. Every kid said that mom cooks, cleans, and takes care of the house, while their dad sits and watches TV. While some (men) found it funny, I think it’s actually sad.

Le donne sono responsabili di tutto e gli uomini non hanno tante aspettative. Un grande esempio è rappresentato dagli uomini che vengono elogiati quando portano i figli da qualche parte con loro o fanno il minimo indispensabile. Le donne non riceverebbero mai una pacca sulla spalla per una cosa del genere. 

5. Sentire sempre che abbiamo la vita più facile

Non importa quanto facciamo o teniamo conto di tutti gli ostacoli che abbiamo, gli uomini diranno sempre che abbiamo la vita più facile. Il problema delle donne è che we don’t complain as much as we should and that’s why everyone thinks we don’t have any problems.

The only expectation society has from men is that they act as providers and even that isn’t something that’s a thing like it used to be but they still manage to make themselves look like victims. 

6. Gravidanza e nascita

Ohh I could write a whole blog just about this struggle. I don’t know what’s worse, the fact we go through this experience and often don’t get any support from our partners or the fact someone thinks they can make decisions about our body.

7. Non essere presi sul serio 

Immaginate se le donne ricevessero un dollaro ogni volta che viene detto loro qualcosa. Potremmo creare la vita su un altro pianeta e trasferirci lì senza uomini!

Gli uomini sono sempre più affidabili e rispettati, indipendentemente da ciò che dicono. Le donne, invece, devono fare molto di più per essere prese sul serio. Penso spesso a come, ad esempio, le donne ricevano tutte le diagnosi più tardi nella vita solo perché viene sempre detto che esagerano i loro sintomi.

8. Sottorappresentazione nella ricerca medica

This is such a huge problem and I think people don’t even realize it. This is another reason why Le donne spesso ricevono una diagnosi molto più tardiva o addirittura troppo tardiva.

It’s because a diagnosis of different disorders is based on men’s symptoms and we obviously have much different physiology. When the first scientific experiments were taking place, it was shameful to explore women’s bodies so almost all scientific facts are based on men. 

9. Un mondo che ruota intorno agli uomini

Sapevate che le donne hanno 73% maggiori probabilità di rimanere ferite in un incidente d'auto solo perché di recente hanno iniziato a usare manichini d'urto femminili? 

Tutto è pensato per gli uomini so please don’t ever say we have it easier than you. If you ever dealt with these similar problems, you would understand how hard it is to be a woman. 

10. Paura costante per la sicurezza

We would love to be able to go out alone when it’s late, walk with our headphones blasting music, or do anything in public without having to be on a constant watch for danger.

That’s so exhausting and not fair. Le donne non sono più al sicuro da nessuna parte and that’s our reality men will never understand. Considering how many assaults and femicides are there every day, I sometimes wonder how we get the courage to go out at all. 

Le lotte che le donne devono affrontare sono profondamente radicate nella nostra società. Tuttavia, se ogni uomo cercasse di essere solo un po' più comprensivo e si lasciasse alle spalle tutti i pregiudizi e gli stereotipi, saremmo in grado di creare un ambiente più sano per le generazioni future.
